Stephen Lundquist, Portland Adventist Academy Bible teacher and religion department chair, was honored Tuesday night, Aug. 7, with an Excellence in Teaching Award from the Alumni Awards Foundation at the North American Division Teachers’ Convention in Chicago, Ill. The first project under a matching grant program for Mt. Ellis Academy (MEA) in Bozeman, Mont., has been completed with Academy Drive being repaired, sealed and striped on July 1. The grant program was established in April by the Adventist Education Foundation Board who voted to pledge up to $100,000 for maintenance projects and campus improvements at MEA if the academy raised matching funds up to $100,000 by May 1, 2019. #NWAdventists
