Came here with a Groupon to make a paperweight. Class was extremely well run and informative. Highly recommended, great for all ages.

My husband and I attended a class on Saturday and learned a *lot* about glass blowing (and a lot of other things!). James is quite entertaining, very knowledgeable, and a great guy who engages his students. The crew helped us make an ornament and paperweight. Having a hands-on experience like this was incredible. We gained a lot of respect for this particular art form. I wouldn't hesitate to work with James Michael and his crew again at all!

Did a Saturday morning groupon class here and it was really a great experience. Laid back, informative, and even made a couple peices of glass. their results were a lot better than mine, but it all really makes you appreciate what you see them do that much more.

The beginner class is an excellent way to spend a Saturday. James is a great instructor with an impressive artistic background, and his apprentices are knowledgeable and willing to educate students. I would absolutely take this class again and recommend it for anyone with an interest in creative expression.

I always love visiting Jim's shop every winter to see all the beautiful pieces he is working on and to purchase an ornament. I was finally able to attend one of the Hot Glass Experience classes, and it was fantastic. The apprentices in the shop are super helpful and don't make you feel like an idiot when you mess up, even though they are 1/2 your age or 1/4 your age. Jim is as engaging and informative as ever, but he is also patient is teaching you how to create paperweights. I will never look at another paperweight the same - they used to seem so simple and easy, whereas I now know the skill it takes to make one that has a proper base. Definitely want to do this again sometime!
