After spending 5 days in canyon areas of Arizona and Utah it was time for me to drive to Las Vegas before taking the last leg of my journey to Los Angeles. I was a bit sad about leaving colorful Utah and Arizona and anticipated a long and uneventful drive to boring desert land. But, it turned out to be a much more interesting trip than I expected.
Actually, I found it to be a very fascinating drive. The transformation from canyons to desert was very gradual and at some point I found myself in the land where features of different areas coexisted in perfect harmony.
In this featured photo, you can see presences of features from different areas of the southwest. You can still spot the remains of the canyons with the high mountain range in the distance and the presence of the desert becoming more prominent. At this point, I was not bored at all, and I kept stopping my car every few kilometers, trying to capture the essence of the transformation.
