Happy 104th Birthday Girl Scouts! When Girl Scout founder Juliette Gordon Low first assembled 18 girls from Savannah, Ga., for that first meeting on March 12, 1912, she believed all girls should be given the opportunity to develop physically, mentally and spiritually. It's pretty amazing to think about all of the girl's whose lives have changed as a result! #girlscandoanything #HBDGirlScouts #104yearsstrong

Do we have a bravery deficit in this country? There are some REALLY good insights in this TED talk, speaking to the importance of socializing bravery over perfection in our girls. #courageousandstrong #keeptrying #failforward #girlsintech #stem #girlscandoanything #sisterhood http://ow.ly/ZbVoz
We're raising our girls to be perfect, and we're raising our boys to be brave, says Reshma Saujani, the founder of Girls Who Code. Saujani has taken up the charge to socialize young girls to take risks and learn to program — two skills they need to move society forward. To truly innovate, we cannot leave behind half of our population, she says. "I need each of you to tell every young woman you know to be comfortable with imperfection."

Introduction
Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona serves girls ages 5 to 17 through a wide range of contemporary programs that reflect the unique needs and interests of girls living in Southern Arizona. We provide preventative strategies that help girls succeed in school and life and empower girls to reach their full potential. Girl Scouts give girls a voice in the community and their own lives and provides access to programs to girls in need. We support a diverse adult leadership, develop effective community collaborations, and remain fiscally sound to ensure that Girl Scouting is available to girls long into the future.
