US spy agencies have been wooing execs at the nation's largest tech companies, says +Ted Rall  using ISIS as the reason. What is wrong with this picture? Hmm ...
Spy agencies are trying to woo Silicon Valley tech companies into sharing more info about you, reports say. Ted Rall wants to know if you are cool with that. Commentary.

Discriminating against Muslims is first, deporting them is next. What about those who won’t go? Welcome to Trumplinka, the classiest death camp ever. [Ted Rall cartoon]

Pundits have said all along it could never happen, but believe it. Donald Trump really could beat Hillary Clinton to win the White House. Are you cool with that? [Commentary]

The fact that Bernie Sanders is surging in the polls makes sense only if you accept that propaganda doesn’t matter anymore, says Ted Rall. Commentary.

Skewed News — Every day we’re being dragged deeper into the capitalist nightmare. While workers are the only ones directly exploited by capital, many others such as the petite bourgeoisie (the “middle” classes) are also subject to its terrible effects: economic crisis, wars of conquest, oppression, poverty, police-state terror, global warming, suicidal thoughts, Febreeze ads and all the rest. Academics, …

You’ve heard the Albert Einstein IQ debate. But what if Einstain wasn’t all that smart? Psychologist Jason Dias digs in.

There is some question of the math in the article, but there are also some fantastic messages there.  One of the greatest is the message of confidence to continue testing an unpopular theory without influence of the low grade "group thinkers".  So very many times group "thinkers" are proven wrong by a single energetic gifted mind.  I know the pain of early ridicule; thankfully I was born with persistence. Not all gifted minds may include persistence which creates the damage born in group think to squelch new thought.  Our society suffers greatly from group think which really needs to be examined in public forums.  This is especially true due to social media's acceleration of huge factions of group "thinkers".   "Popular thought" is nearly a oxymoron!

Your article does a wonderful job of highlighting the idea of lauding the discoverer of the right answer.  I'd add the "genius" label begins with intelligence, but requires persistence of thought of many years at times to arrive at the "brilliant" answer.  Stated another way, it is that ah-ha moment followed by the "why didn't I figure that out years ago" when the answer is finally realized.  It could be said this is what Edison meant with his 1/99% inspiration/perspiration quote.  *Please keep stressing the PERSPIRATION*

I still chuckle at my own worst example of this.  It was a full 40 years after making a childhood observation that "genius" struck that allowed me to make a quantum leap in the ecological designs my work employs today.  Had it not been for an insane desire to solve such problems, the incredible answer would never have evolved.  Perhaps we can measure genius as the temporal distance from inspiration to solution.  Edison was clearly accurate in his emphasis on observation.  That is the key to my own career.

Thanks for sharing this article.  I do hope the author will take a closer look at the frequency of the 160 IQ.

Democrats are every bit as war crazy as Republicans, says Ted Rall. At least conservatives are honest about it. Commentary.

When Cruz and other politicians make untruthful claims, they aren’t making them up on the spot. These are orchestrated lies, says Jason Dias, lied that are mulled carefully to match the naive…

Introduction
I cringe at the idea of media sites and big companies getting the editorial content they need for their sites from ad agencies. So my mission is to provide a far better alternative. I have gathered a team of some of the best journalists, columnists, photographers, videographers and artists in the world.

Launched by John C. Dvorak, Jerry Pournelle, John C. Dvorak, Ted Rall and me, aNewDomain is a cohesive team of journalists.  We helped start CNET, Wired, ZD Net and E3 -- we relaunched BYTE in 2011, co-launched Dell's Tech Page One in 2012 and now staff and run HTC's killer millennial content site, BreakingModern.com.

Ping me if you're interested in joining the team -- or if you need a stream of great content. +GinaSmith

Seems to be a scam. Paid nearly 700 bucks for two "front row tickets." Got to the venue. Turned out I had two 25 dollar tickets. At least they got me seats, though. Texted the seller -- they'd been trying to text me to okay a fedex, which was strange -- and he said "trust me. No mistake." He gave me a number to call but that number just puts you into a long list of ads and surveys. Scam, scam, scam.
