Bought a 2011 forester brand new, have done all the scheduled maintenance per their owners manual. Every time it has been a nightmare. The service guy is rude, are not reliable for part ordering, don't fix the problems with the car that you bring it in for the last time I brought it in for the 60000 mile maintenance, they went over the car and showed us a list of things that needed to be changed. Brought the car to them was charged over a 1000 dollars, picked it up and not even 4 miles down the road check engine light came on, traction control light came on, and service light came on, thought it was just serviced? Brought it back the next day and said it was the Catalytic converter had gone out. Didn't you just go over the car????? Bring it back and luckily car was still under warranty because the wanted 700 just for the catalytic converter repair. Got the car back home and when dropped the kids off noticed a metallic rattling noise coming from under the car, they told me to bring it back to them for them to diagnose it, which I am sure will be another 115 service charge. If they had done the job they said they would do the first time I would not have to pay all these fees and time off from work. Fortunate to say we are a Subaru family and will be going to North Park for our next purchase. Don't trust the salesman, maintenance, or the Whole Gillman group they will lie and do just enough to get by. I promise you will have a horrible experience....

I went to Gillman Subaru recently to have a 60k service performed on my WRX. Arielle(?) in the service department was professional and a pleasure to work with. She got me a loaner from Enterprise very quickly and called a couple of times during the day to update me on the status of my vehicle and when it was going to be ready. The prices here were also better than the other dealership in town. Definitely worth the visit-thanks for the great service!

I bought a used subaru baja. There was a recall for a leak at the fuel pump. This was a major safety issue and could cause the pump to leak over the gas tank and hot exhaust leading to an explosion. When I purchased the car, I paid for the carfax report to verify it's service history, including the recall status. Of all of the entries made in the carfax, the only service completed that gave no detail whatsoever (Example: 06/15/2013 174,880 Gillman Mitsubishi Subaru Of San Antonio, Vehicle serviced.) was done by Gillman. That's all that was entered on the carfax. "VEHICLE SERVICED." I verified through subaru corporate that the recall was performed, and shortly after, I see that the vehicle failed California emissions. I have no engine check light, According to corporate, the recall was repaired, but all of the service logs performed by Gillman only listed a date and "vehicle serviced." This makes the carfax useless and is negligent of the technicians. I have never been a customer of that dealer, and I never will be.

I was very interested in a Car" Hyundai Sonata 2011 " that's with Gillman Subaru San Antonio, so i approached them to check the car. Price offered to me Out of door was 10800 i tired to negotiate to 10500 they accepted and every thing was going good. While doing the test drive i found that AC of the car is not functioning properly. I approached the sales team and asked them to have a look. One of the Sales manager came to me and said pay 10800$ we will fix the car AC. What the hell if you don't want to give the car for 10500 you should have told that first itself. By the way why would i buy a car with issues in it. The sales manager behavior was very rude and his is also very rude. If Subaru don't want to negotiate on its price then they would have told that before, i nearly went 5 times for that car. My Suggestion never by Used car from Gillman Subaru San Antonio. I have seen some bad ratings for New Car too. Keep it up Gillman Subaru. All the best for your FUTURE.

My fiance and I were moving cross country in her 2013 Subaru and the "check engine" light came on. The first place we could get into for service was Gillman Subaru in San Antonio. We were quoted a service time of 2.5-3 hours to find out what the problem was and fix it. Then we could be on our merry way. The day before we brought it in, one of the tires started acting up and not holding air. We asked if they could take a look at that as well. They said "No problem!" We brought the car in and decided to rent a car while ours was being fixed so that we could run some errands and go see The Alamo! We returned four hours later, a full hour after the quoted time, to find out that the car was not ready yet. No problem. We're pretty patient people. We were told it might me another half hour. The good news was that they had found a nail in the tire and patched it. Good to go? Nope. Long story longer. After seven, SEVEN, hours of working on our car, they still hadn't fixed it. Now that alone I can live with. I personally spoke with the mechanic and I do believe he was doing his best. Hey, these new cars with computers can be tricky. The reason I'm writing this review is the status of the tire and the lies told to us. They said they patched the tire and tried to charge us around $60 for the patch. We thought the tires were still under warranty. Gillman told us that was not the case. Turns out they were wrong. I find out today from Subaru that the tires were, in fact, still under warranty. I'm sure they knew this. They had all the other information on the car, why wouldn't they have warranty info. Here's the kicker. THEY DIDN'T FIX THE TIRE! After seven hours of NOT FIXING THE CAR, they tried to charge us for NOT FIXING THE TIRE which was under warranty to begin with. We made a little complaint as to how long we were there and the car not being fixed so the tire charge was waved. After leaving Gillman, the tire pressure went down again. I took it to a tire shop and bought two new tires as it's an all wheel drive and dangerous to just replace one. There was no way I was taking it back to Gillman. That set us back $376. Today I find out that the tires are under warranty and I'm out almost four hundred bucks because of the liars and thieves at Gillman Subaru. So let's sum up. Seven hours of our time wasted. Forty bucks for a rental car for the day. Car not fixed. Tire not fixed. Out almost four hundred bucks for tires that should've just been replaced as they were still under warranty. If you want to get lied to and ripped off, head on down to Gillman Subaru. Oh, and to the "owner" that responds to all of these reviews, save it. Save your "sorry's" and "thanks for the feedback" Actions speak louder than words. Want to make it right? Reimburse us for the tires. Be a stand up Texan and business owner and make it right. Do that and I'll edit this review. Or, even delete it if that's what you wish. Other than that, anything you write is BS.

"**INFLATED PRICES served with MEGA poor Customer Service**" Just experienced the WORST OF THE WORST BS that is Gillman Subaru at it's finest. Wanted to buy a new 2015 BRZ LIMITED that turned out to be a Dealer car with a few hundred miles & possibly some new wheels. FIRST and foremost, they wanted approximately $3500 over the MSRP in which NO ONE should ever consider paying MSRP Sticker price. I found out the car was INVOICED @ approximately $ 27,500, WTH Gillman Subaru? I highly recommend that EVERYONE AND ANYONE that would consider doing new business with Gillman Subaru or ANY other dealer, ask for the INVOICE BEFORE any consideration, IF they DO NOT PRODUCE an actual INVOICE, PLEASE stand up & walk out. Gillman Subaru seems to produce an imaginary INFLATED price without producing an AUTO INVOICE to see clearly what the dealers cost to buy that specific auto. ** So to make it easy for anyone thinking about a NEW auto purchase** !!!!!!DO THE FOLLOWING & ASK FOR THE DEALERS INVOICE TO VERIFY THE ACTUAL PRICE PLUS OPTIONS!!!!!!!! *** If Gillman Subaru is unwilling to produce an actual dealer INVOICE, you DO NOT know what kinda INFLATED PRICES Gillman Subaru is definitely offering you, know your rights CONSUMERS!!!!! I GIVE GILLMAN SUBARU NO STARS for poor customer service, huge INFLATED prices & let's no forget the DEEP BS at its FINEST they throw at you, the "uneducated" consumer.. **** REMEMBER TO ASK FOR DEALER INVOICE BEFORE ANY TALK, LOOK IT OVER, SEARCH FOR 2 columns,*** ** MSRP** >>> Don't even think about paying that price!!!!!!!!! ** Dealer Costs* Is ALWAYS lower than *MSRP* !!! I highly recommend any San Antonio based Subaru dealers for HONEST rates that will produce a real paper INVOICE, You don't have to travel to Selma for an awesome deal, unless you want to pay INFLATED PRICES & consider yourself a MORON because Gillman Subaru expects you to bow to them without producing actual, true INVOICE. Rodney L. ( Highly recommend North Park Subaru on San Pedro Street. for HONEST INVOICE pricing , Awesome Customer service , shoot you straight answers to your questions and let's Not forget, Awesome & Kind people with Positive attitudes and results. Ask for Albert Rocha,a polite, respectful gentleman with real answers the best customer service a consumer can and will receive from North Park Subaru. Remember, they are a few dealers apart from GILLMAN SUBARU in SAN ANTONIO that will respect the consumer without trying to EXTORT money from UNEDUCATED consumers, which any cusumer that walks in to any Gillman Dealers lot will acquire even before you open your eyes and ears to hear the HUGE BS greeting your person. ** Know your rights CONSUMERS! Ask for dealers INVOICE!! NO ACTUAL INVOICE, WALK AWAY & RUN! ** Had to give 1 Star because it would not let me Submit my experience without one. ** Negative Stars sounds about right for Gillman Subaru and/or any Gillman organization**

At Gillman Subaru, our goal is to provide a superior selling experience. We apologize that we did not meet your expectation. Our goal is to provide a fair price for the vehicle you were interested in buying. Adding aftermarket accessories to vehicles often changes the amount of discount we can provide. We apologize if you feel we mislead you during our price negotiations. Valentin is a top notch salesman. He was very clear and very thorough in helping me. He wasn't interested in "getting the sale" like most. He wanted to make sure I got the most from my trade in and for me to drive away in the vehicle that I wanted. Valentin is a "people" person. Gillman is very lucky to have a salesperson like him. Should I need another Subaru, Valentin at Gillman will definitely be the person I talk to.

I brought my Forester in for service. There was a scraping in one of the tires. They said they couldn't find anything wrong. The next day the muffler fell off. The muffler had come off and was hanging in the back and scraping the back tire. I paid $115 and they didn't even look at the muffler. I would kind of say that is a typical dealership move. I'm not happy and now I can't find anyone to fix the stupid thing.
