I brought my Forester in for service. There was a scraping in one of the tires. They said they couldn't find anything wrong. The next day the muffler fell off. The muffler had come off and was hanging in the back and scraping the back tire. I paid $115 and they didn't even look at the muffler. I would kind of say that is a typical dealership move. I'm not happy and now I can't find anyone to fix the stupid thing.

Valentin is a top notch salesman. He was very clear and very thorough in helping me. He wasn't interested in "getting the sale" like most. He wanted to make sure I got the most from my trade in and for me to drive away in the vehicle that I wanted. Valentin is a "people" person. Gillman is very lucky to have a salesperson like him. Should I need another Subaru, Valentin at Gillman will definitely be the person I talk to.

Bought my 2014 Forester in Sep 2013, the purchase included visors for the moon roof and windows. The moon roof visor is in stock and the window visors are put on order and would be in the following Thursday. I never received a call that the visors came in. Four weeks later I received a call that the license plates were in, I asked about the visors, and was told that they have the window visors but they are still waiting on the moon roof visor, and they would give me a call when it comes in. After six weeks of waiting I called the corporate Subaru of America and informed them. They contacted Gillman and Gillman contacted me that the visors were in. On Oct 10 I took the Forester in for an oil change and tire rotation, took the vehicle home the next time I drove it the air conditioning vents were making hissing sounds and my nose was stinging from whatever came out off the vents. The next day the low pressure tire light came on. Took the vehicle in and was told it is the compressor, but I have to bring it (on a different day) to get a diagnostic test done, took it in for the test; they have to order the compressor. It would arrive the following Wednesday. I asked to be called when the compressor comes in, received no call. Called Saturday, the compressor is in but parts department did not call. Here it is two weeks later and I am still driving in a new vehicle without air conditioning in mid 80s temperatures. If you looking for good service, avoid Gillman.

I emailed Elias about possibly trading in our 2010 Dodge Journey. I let him know we still owed on the car but would like some options. we came in the next day(saturday) and they quickly started working on the appraisal for the Journey. We test drove a few vehicles and Elias was helpful and polite every step of the way. We settled on a 2012 Legacy and could not be happier. Thank you everyone.

We hope Lane Tokunaga read this comment. We ordered and received the 2015 Forester Limited and now have 6,000 miles. We paid cash in full at time of delivery. We need to get the oil changed but after reading a recent post on Gillman service, we are thinking about going to North San Antonio Subaru instead. We also purchased the 100,000 extended warranty. If we have similar service results as the last guy who came in to Gillman Subaru for a new Forester oil change and we get the same results as the last guy, what assistance would Lane provide to us? I am putting 4 stars on this for getting us the vehicle on time and at agreed price not for any service we have yet to receive. Gillman lost a star by not telling us the license plates came in until six weeks after they arrived in August. Lane tokunaga should note we are active contributors for Yelp and for Angies List; his responsiveness to this post will be duly noted on them both.
