From the site of School of Machines, Making and Make-believe (what a great name!   :)

"How can we create meaningful experiences using data to explore the facts and fictions of our modern-day lives? How can a thoughtful and more personal exploration of data visualisation and storytelling provide new ways of understanding the world around us and ourselves? In this four-week program we'll take a hands-on approach to exploring these questions and more in a variety of conceptual, digital, and physical formats."

If you're interested, be quick because tomorrow is the last day to apply....

The less is more theme continues now to the point whereby the picture may only be seen now by using one's inner eye.

You are adopting the Zen notion of less is more, put in what you think you need then start removing all but the absolute essential.

it looks like a struggle of some sort, not between the 2 pieces but a struggle to come to life.

Making up for the missing picture yesterday.
Posts the following days may be haphazard as well.

Strange how the idea of flowers and plants keeps informing these abstracts. Often the end result doesn't remind of plant life anymore, but still, as a starting point, it makes for more interesting abstracts than when I start out with no figurative visual intention....

I try to create opportunities for long-distance eye contact. I am an artist. I read, I write and I draw.
Introduction

What does it mean to be an artist today?

It seems easier then ever to connect to people all over the world, to show your work and have it “liked”.

But how do you go from this instant but superficial contact to establishing true and meaningful connections?

Is it possible to make long-distance eye contact?

Is it possible to make art on your own terms, without desperately trying to please the masses nor some high-art establishment?

And if that’s possible, where do you keep finding the courage to be so beautifully selfish?

Bragging rights
I posted a "daily doodle" on Google+ every single day since April 7 2012.
