CTV has to have the cheapest equipment in the industry - all their shows and guests always talk over each other - they can't hear each other in real time and we can't match the answers with the questions when they're not all talking at the same time. Plus they have a few show hosts that just don't know when to shut up and listen to their answer and they keep interupting guests. I thought we'd gotten rid of half those problems when Jane Taber got shipped out to Halifax! DAMN THAT'S AGGRAVATING!! I wich there was something else besides CBC - no wonder we watch CNN and FOX.

Why I can no longer go to the cenotaph on Rememberance day.
It reminds me of the day I was shooting at targets with an old Lee-Enfield .303 when one of my uncles came over and commented that the .303 was just like the one he had in the army. When he shouldered it and looked down the barrel, he totally broke down, started crying and handed me back the rifle. When I asked what happened, he couldn't talk but later told me that he had seen the "targets" he'd probably killed.

It also reminds me of some friends that came back from Viet-Nam in bags or without all their arms or legs ...or their minds.

It reminds me of grown men crying when they hear the bugle plays taps for the comrades they left in Flanders field.

I guess I'm getting too old because I just can't handle that anymore.

PIPELINE REFERENDUM???

There is a person from Nanaimo by the name of Robert St-Amour who was on the Bill Good show this morning with the announcement that he is planning to run a referendum to find out if the population of BC wants a pipeline running through the province.

Good rightly says that this is a too soon since the environmental review on the project has yet to be conducted. Good is a...lso asking if we should have, yet, another referendum.

What both of these people are dancing around with and fail to understand, is that Mr. St-Amour is demonstrating that the people of British Columbia no longer trust any of their governments to make the right decision.

When it comes to a major decision, the people of BC don’t trust the hired help and would rather decide for themselves.

This should be a fairly good clue to politicians of all kinds that major changes need to occur and the first breed of politician to clue in stands to make some large gains in the race to get elected.
