Wow fantastic! We paid $10a yard for our mulch and we had to pick it up. However, I have heard that if you see the city mulching up trees, like after a storm, you can ask them for some. I don't know how true that rumor is around here but that's what I've heard. -Amanda

by special request from a viewer, here is the finished strawberry vertical pallet garden. please remember that all of these strawberries are such recent transplants that they look awful at this time. that's totally normal. they will perk up in a few days.

As promised via last video here is the video showing you how we are planting the 3 sisters (corn, beans and squash) together in one bed. We had to research how to do this correctly and modify slightly for our garden bed scenario. Enjoy! More videos to come so please subscribe to get our notifications!

We're back to a small backyard greenhouse from a kit. It's what we have to work with at the moment, but here you can see a few items we're planting this year. And yes, we're not moving now... ask us about it on Facebook, we'll fill you in. ;)

Introduction
GETTING THERE GREEN

We are Randy & Amanda from Getting There Green.  We run a YouTube Gardening Channel as well as a Gardening Blog.  Our goal in life is to own a few acres eventually and live as self sufficiently as possible.  Right now, however, we are training ourselves to learn what works and what doesn't.  Mistakes have been made and learned from and more will come in the future we're sure.  We are encouraging everyone to join in on our fun and learning.
