I keep on looking (and looking) at this amazeballs photo taken by @kate_miles_ from the deck of one of the huts/camping(glamping) overnight stops on Tasmania's Three Capes Track.
So emotive, such looming cloud action.
There is also something special about the steely symmetry of the benches and the deck ...
Ladies and gentlemen, please take your seats for another memorable performance by Mother Nature on the Three Capes Track. @kate_miles_ recently captured this shot of the prelude to some much-needed rain from the deck of Surveyors cabin – your impressive digs for the first night of three on the track. After being open for just over one month, the initial reports are in and people are raving about the Three Capes Track. We can almost smell the swee...

This is a new blog worth following - life and family centric at every turn.

This is at the lower end of totally disgusting ... We abhor and make a point of dancing with glee on the perceived injustices of other jurisdictions, but to now refer to Australia as civilised in this matter, is way beyond the pale.
The story of Abyan exposes a new level of cruelty in Australian immigration detention, and we shouldn't be surprised, writes Mathew Kenneally.

Good list of BIG's in #Tasmania  - yes, for a small place we do have a few!
What Tasmania lacks in size, it makes up for in Stature. We love BIG things. The bigger and bolder it is, the better the experience. We have compiled a list of the greatest structures, and novelty architecture in this BIG and BEAUTIFUL state. 10. The Big Thumbs Up - Scottsdale Before Facebook wa

I happen to live in a great part of the world (doesn't everyone say that about their home turf?), however a little Saturday excursion proved to be most enjoyable.

Listened to these guys do this on TripleJ 'Like A Version', but nothing like hearing live. Apologies for lo-qual but still excellent rendition if not slightly patchy sound. Luke and Jenny's voices almost make this a better version than the original.

This is an unbelievable property. Besides the luxurious off-grid accommodation, which cannot be faulted - the expansive grounds and private walkways allow the nature lover to escape every day pressures and to totally step down from routine. The two night minimum here is frankly not enough. I was impressed with the hosts' warmth of welcome, their passion for their property, which is 1500 acres of bush land adjoining the National Park, and their knowledge of bird and sea life. With the best of fittings this is VERY comfortable accommodation. A full kitchen allows one to bring in supplies and to self-cater to your heart's content. As a retreat for two couples I would rate it right up there. As long as you realise this is not downtown, but a real opportunity to step back from the usual - you will find this ideal. Highly recommended. Not just a bed. Much, much more.

Over past years have seen the property transform and add on the new wing and facilities. A favourite place to call in to and eat - the restaurant is excellent. Rooms and facilities in the remodel are excellent - the Club Rooms and their associated Club Executive area on the upper floors and the view from there is wonderful. The older rooms are functional and match the price now charged for them. Close by Braga and all the other charms of downtown Bandung, the hotel is a good choice for many.

Maria and her husband run this Guest House which is everything good about Anjuna. Friendly non-intrusive service, comfortable clean and well priced accommodation set back from the road so at night it is quiet. Set in a charming garden - there is even a well. Walk to the beach and food and other supplies one way, the other to a supermarket and the wonderful Café - The Daily Coco-Box near the Post Office. You will enjoy your stay here.

There are multiple choices in the price bracket which I booked through Agoda. Without being in a hostel this is the next step up. Set in a part of town up off the East Coast Road the hotel is set in a cute shuttered building which was part of 'Old Singapore' where locals hang out, where the restaurants and all services nearby make you think you are in Singapore before it all went high rise and well, just like any large city. If this is the kind of place that you like to stay, then this moderately priced hotel will fit the bill. It is 10 mins to central city by train (station 150m away) and 20 mins by train to the airport. And you can still do Orchard Road, Little India, Marina Sands from this base. Yes it is busy; yes it can be noisy; yes there may be imperfections from acceptable to gross - it comes with the territory.

Near the Post Office set about 800m from the beach is this great Café and Bar run by a French couple / It's the ultimate breakfast spot for a western backpacker or flashpacker. Great coffee, lush fruit juices, good music, and a muesli fruit stack and curd (yoghurt) with honey to die for. Throw in a menu which includes omelettes and other good stuff, you could be forgiven for a while for thinking that you were in a small French village. The fact that they also distribute goods as a supplier to other shops and restaurants says something about their quality. Just do it!
