I own an Amazon Tap and love it. In this era of home control devices that don't want to work together, Amazon has really got this figured out. The Tap has the ability to control everything I have. This includes Nest, iHome, Lutron, and Philips devices. All work with Amazons voice control.

So I decided to try using this in an always listening mode rather than having to press the button. So I ordered one of these just released devices. We will see in October.

I've gotten to be very ambivalent about the Olympics. As a kid it was a highlight to be able to see all of the athletes perform on TV. But now days, it's all political, and all about money!

Here's a great example. Somebody needs to explain to me why one gold metal never gets covered in the national news but another gold metal is the top highlight on all of the news sites. I guess I can answer my own question, it's all political. A gold metal with a rifle just doesn't count in today's america. Too many political interests and too many news medias who are on "all guns are bad" side want this to be a bad thing rather than a good one.

So until the competitive shooting events show up on TV, in the mainstream, I think I'll just pass the Olympics and make a specific point to pass those businesses that advertise with Olympic related media
