On Feb 25th border authorities around the world began strictly enforcing the movement of elephant ivory, tortoise shell, and pernambuco across borders.

If your bow was made after 1976, it was most likely mammoth ivory rather than elephant ivory.  Otherwise, you have some paperwork you'll need to fill out.

Liked this a lot. Many of these we could do with Maple..I think software
packages aren't used much in schools tho (not sure) because students don't
like having to do the small amount of pre programmed coding! Like "plot(
blah blah blah)". I thought all students could program a little, not so.
Nice to see these then, as illustration examples..some are on the web, but
here, in one place. Liked the comments too. 2 pi r ...have to be careful
what you get convinced of. Really nice!!!!

Minecraft videos are a booming (and kid-friendly) business, apparently.

Nova Scotia's premier is actually an excellent Cape Breton fiddle player. I've heard him perform live several times at dance halls around Cape Breton Island, even before he got into politics...

As I was told by the receptionist, this is where you go in Boston if you are looking to buy (or get repaired) a $50,000+ violin. If that's not your market, then you might try their more populist subsidiary: Carriage House Violins in Newton.

My personal favorite beer in Boston. The food is generally good (though not really fantastic), but the portions tend to be on the small side.

Dignan does excellent bow work. Among the best (and the most recommended--by those who know) in Boston.

Best Irish Bar in Boston! The Druid has it all: Good beer selection, great food (cooked by an excellent brazilian chef), ONE TV for keeping track of a big game (and it gets turned OFF otherwise--thank god). It's also got a really nice, diverse, and interesting clientele: From construction workers to MIT/Harvard grad students, to software/biotech engineers, to wine sellers, bookstore owners, teachers, playwrights, retired programmers, and other bar owners. Plus, it happens to be the single best place (at the time of writing) to hear or play excellent traditional Irish music.

Excellent food. Quirky, hipster atmosphere. Nuff said.
