MONTEREY, Calif. (May 3, 2015) – Richard Westbrook and Michael Valiante gave the Corvette Daytona Prototype its third straight victory in the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship on Sunday. The pairing won the Continental Tire Monterey Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in their VisitFlorida.com Racing No. 90 Corvette DP.

Corvette Daytona Prototypes took four of the top five positions in the fourth race of the season. Sunday’s result increased Chevrolet’s lead in the Prototype Engine Manufacturer championship, and it vaulted Westbrook and Valiante into the lead of the Prototype Driver’s standings.

Westbrook finished 1.351 seconds ahead of Ricky Taylor in Wayne Taylor Racing’s No. 10 Konica Minolta Corvette DP. Taylor and brother Jordan now have a victory and two runner-up finishes in their last three races.

Not bad, Chevy Colorado sales will only keep getting better, especially when the diesel becomes available, same for GMC Canyon, the next gen Camaro needs to get here quick, just look at the new Mustang sale numbers, Cadillac sales will probably not improve until 2016 at least, I say this because of 6 speed autos on the ATS/CTS/XTS/SRX, all these models should have the a 8 speed auto and the XTS/SRX being fwd shouldn’t even be a Cadillac, thus the point of Buick, anyway with the ATS/CTS/CT6 having the 8 speed auto, plus the ATS Vseries and CTS Vseries coming, note too Cadillac, you guys need more SUVs models, hopefully they will be based off a rwd platforms, this should help, still no small V6 turbo around 330hp/tq to replace the naturally aspirated 3.6 V6 and like I always say, the GM brands need more models

INDIANAPOLIS – Five-time Brickyard 400 winner and four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Jeff Gordon will drive a Corvette Z06 pace car for the 99th running of the Indianapolis 500 mile race, May 24 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

It is the 13th time a Corvette has served as the official pace car, dating to 1978, and the 26th time a Chevrolet has led the pack for “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.” Corvette has served as the pace car more than any other vehicle in the race’s history.

TALLADEGA, Ala. – May 3, 2015 – Dale Earnhardt Jr. thrilled the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series fans at Talladega Superspeedway by winning the GEICO 500 in dominating fashion to capture his first victory of the 2015 season and 24th of his Cup career.

After the final green-flag pit stop, Earnhardt Jr. led the last several laps around the 2.66-mile tri-oval with trash on the grille of his race car, causing the heat gauges to soar. But his R07 engine prevailed, and powered his No. 88 Nationwide Chevy SS across the finish line. In all, Earnhardt led the race six times for a race-high total of 67 laps.

With Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jimmie Johnson behind him in the No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet SS, the duo captured a 1-2 finish, and Earnhardt Jr. collected his first Talladega win since 2004. It was his sixth victory at Talladega Superspeedway, and he is now tied with teammate Jeff Gordon, No. 24 Drive to End Hunger Chevrolet SS for the most victories among active drivers with six apiece.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – A half-billion vehicles over 106 years equals billions in commerce, payroll, investments and infrastructure in communities all over the world. For customers, these vehicles played roles in weddings, family vacations, graduations, new businesses and countless milestones along life’s journey.

Globally, more than 500 million General Motors-branded vehicles have been built – the most of any automaker by far – and the company is putting its customers at the center of the accomplishment.

GM CEO Mary Barra and GM North America and Global Chevrolet President Alan Batey celebrated the milestone Monday with customers, employees and dealers at the Fairfax (Kansas) Assembly plant, and surprised Iraqi war veteran Trent Brining with a “key” to a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu. Production of the midsize sedan begins at the plant later this year.

DETROIT – For the all-new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro, the design team set out to create a leaner, more athletic design that complemented the new driving experience.

The exterior design vocabulary is defined by complex shapes, which appear to be form-fitted around the mechanical components. Every shape and surface detail is a skilled, artistic collaboration of hand and digital sculpting.

Camaro’s new design details draw the eye into the design. For example, the new aluminum hood features powerful, smoothly curved sculpted forms accented with sharp creases. As a result, the hood appears to be shrink-wrapped around the engine.

Chevrolet will introduce the all-new, 2016 Camaro on Saturday, May 16, during a special public event at Detroit’s Belle Isle Park.

DETROIT – Cadillac announced today that U.S. dealers will begin accepting orders for the next-generation 2016 CTS-V, the all-new high-performance sedan that launches in late summer. The 640-hp CTS-V is the second of two all-new V-Series models to come to market in 2015, following the smaller ATS-V coupe and sedan, which launches in late spring.

Cadillac’s new 2016 V-Series models represent a significant expansion of the brand’s elite, high-performance line. Not only are the new V-Series cars elevated in terms of performance, they now reach a broader spectrum of drivers by presenting two distinct personalities, size categories and price points.

With a top speed of 200 mph and 0-60 performance in 3.7 seconds, the CTS-V is the most powerful car in Cadillac’s 112-year history. The 2016 CTS-V is priced from $83,995. Customers can place orders now with dealers and view additional product information at Cadillac.com.
