Gold Vase Wedding Centrepiece With Floral Pattern

Our gold vase makes a lovely wedding centrepiece. Gold vases can be tricky to find, but we love this one with its pretty floral pattern. This gold vase would look stunning with an arrangement of peach David Austin roses, grasses and helibores as shown in the image. For a gold look on your tables place one of our gold runners down the centre of the table and add a couple of copper or gold tea light holders and copper candle sticks to make more of your centrepiece.

Games For Childrens Wedding Activity Pack

If you are inviting children to your wedding it is a good idea to give them something to play with at the table. This is a great way to make sure each child feels involved in the wedding and it also keeps them entertained during the wedding breakfast and quiet throughout the speeches. You could create a childrens wedding activity pack filled with lots of little games, activity books and crayons or instead of a whole pack just place an activity book or game at their place setting.

When it comes to choosing which games to include in the childrens wedding activity pack, you will want to find something age appropriate and something quiet. A few of our favourite games for this are blackboard hangman, noughts and crosses in a wooden box, dominoes, pick up sticks. If you are also thinking of including activity books our ‘Something to keep you happy when the grown-ups are being boring at the dinner table’ is fab!

Hot Chocolate Wedding Favours

What a fab idea for a winter wedding. Give your guests hot chocolate wedding favours. You can easily make these yourself, weeks in advance of the wedding so there will be no last minute panics to get them ready. A test tube is large enough for cocoa powder and marshmallows for one drink or treat your guests to a whole kilner jar of hot chocolate mix. You could mix it up and instead of hot chocolate give a mocha mix instead.

Winter Wedding Place Settings

Are you getting married in the winter? There are so many lovely ways to style a winter wedding. For a winter wedding near Christmas we love the idea of using a snippet of Christmas tree or spruce for your place settings. Place a small snippet of an evergreen tree branch on each guests napkin or place setting and tie a luggage tag with their name on to it. This will look lovely, for an extra winter woodland touch each place could be sat on a tree slice.

Bronze Vase Wedding Centrepiece

This week our wedding decoration of the week is our bronze vase wedding centrepiece. This vase has a chunky look to it and is a really good choice for your wedding centrepieces, the vase also has a handle for extra detailing. If you have already chosen your centrepiece vases how about adding a candle to this bronze container instead it would make a lovely lantern, either down the aisle, outside and your venue or on your wedding guest book table.

Winter Woodland Wedding Ideas & Decorations – Inspiration Board

Our new winter woodland wedding collection has been a popular choice for couples getting married this winter. If you are planning a wedding during the winter and want a rustic feel to the day use our inspiration board to take some ideas for your own wedding.

We have been pinning our lots winter woodland wedding decorations and ideas and have created an inspiration board of our favourites. To create a woodland feel at your wedding use natural materials, tree slices for centrepieces, tree stumps with candles to line the aisle for a warm and cosy feel. You could make your own woodland candle holders with bark sheets and a mason jar (see our how to guide here). Centrepieces could be crates filled with winter florals, for a winter woodland style we love mixing the green tones of moss and fir with grey brunia and dusty miller as well as a touch of white with roses, cotton or ranunculus. Guests could be given blankets as favours and for the place settings we love the idea of a luggage tag with the guests name tied to a sprig of fir tree or spruce.

Grey White Green Wedding Inspiration Board

When looking at colour schemes for winter weddings one of our favourites is grey, white and green. The muted tones of the grey and green look lovely on a crisp winters day, they feel warm and cosy. For the flowers choose textured foliage using brunia balls, spruce, dusty miller for the grey green tones with white roses, ranunculus and anemones.

For a winter wedding grey bridesmaids dressed look lovely and long trailing grey ribbons tied around the bouquet stems. To keep the warm feeling within the wedding venue opt for grey napkins or table cloths instead of white. Or tie white napkins with grey ribbon. The wedding favours could be small succulents planted in individual silver pots, just perfect for a winter look.
