Myth Monday – FUE and Strip Harvesting procedures, while performed differently, have similar recovery times. 

FALSE. A patient who just underwent a Strip Harvesting procedure will likely have a recovery period of roughly two weeks with their stiches requiring medical personnel to remove them. FUE patients have a typical recovery period of 1 week and do not require stitches due to the nature of the procedure.

Myth Monday – Female Pattern Baldness, like Male Pattern Baldness, often has an obvious hereditary link. 

FALSE. Unlike their male counterparts, women experiencing Female Pattern Baldness usually exhibit no obvious hereditary link. Hair loss or thinning is typically the result of a recent event such as pregnancy or illness.
