Adventist Review Global Youth Day Recap! Click through to read and see all the highlights! "Activities were held in 132 of the world’s 192 countries, as recognized by the United Nations, and 73 percent of participants were young people between the ages of 13 and 34, said Cangy, the General Conference World Youth Director. He noted that this represents a critical age group that has disengaged from the church in large numbers in recent years. 'Global Youth Day goes against this trend,' he said. 'It shows our youth are willing to engage in the mission of the church if we are willing to give them leadership. I am very proud of our young people.'”

The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Cuba made history with 2,000 young people donating blood, conducting health screenings, and distributing thousands of books at two of the communist island’s most revered sites. Church organizers set up the different health stations for the fair at Plaza de La Revolucion in Santiago, Cuba, on Feb. 27, 2015. Many of the young people traveled for hours and over hundreds of miles to reach the city of Santiago de Cuba and participate in the event on its Plaza de la Revolución, the site of major government demonstrations, and Abel Santamaría Park, where an armed uprising in the early 1950s helped kick-start the country’s revolution.

Leading young people into a saving relationship with Christ.
Introduction
We are a global movement of destiny, united in purpose and mission, yet diverse in culture, language, geography, economy, and heritage. It is through the power of Christ and His Spirit that we can celebrate our unity in the midst of such diversity. In a world of ethnic and national divide, this exquisite expression of unity in Jesus is the most powerful expression of the reality of the gospel in the midst of God’s people.
