Brinjal - Vangi - Baigan - Baingan - Baigana - Vankaya all represent one common vegetable, which in American English is EGG-PLANT !!!

It's curry is simple to make. Those new to cooking can also attempt. Only one precaution needs to be taken i.e add a teaspoon of salt to a bowl of water and put this cut vegetable into this salt water, before transferring the vegetable to the frying pan. This would remove and ensure that the final curry doesn't have bitter taste, which in Telugu we call "KANARU"
