Wishing you were a better ally doesn't make you a bad person, but it also doesn't make you a better ally.

If you love LARP and queer folk, I hope you'll come play this game with me in the summer of 2017!
Just A Little Lovin' will be held in USA in summer 2017

The acclaimed nordic larp Just A little Lovin by +Hanne Grasmo and +Tor Kjetil Edland is be coming to Minnesota, USA in summer 2017. The larp is about how the AIDS crisis affects a community of mostly gay and bi men in New York City during three successive years in the 1980s.

I'm leading the local logistics with +tom Fendt. The other lead organizers are +Kat Jones and +Evan Torner. The whole organizing team is composed of many more people who will be volunteering their time to make this US event on par with the previous incredible international runs of JaLL. All this is made possible with the support of the authors and our local community +Larp House.

Major announcements for JaLL USA 2017 will shared to my general larp collection. My JaLL collection will be where I show a behind the scenes look into our organizing work for the larp, as well as post historical tidbits that inspire me.

Thanks again to +Meguey Baker for making The Holly & The Ivy (and the rest of these lovely seasonal games in Playing Nature's Year). My brothers and I played in celebration of the solstice after we'd got the kids off to bed, and had a wonderful time.

The story-weaving was magical, the conclusion perfect, the wish already granted.

Have you ever replayed a challenging experience from earlier in your life? Talking about it can help. I made a game for that. Playtesters say that despite focusing on trauma it's "fun, not heavy," "refreshing and enlivening," and "mellow, emotional, and relaxing."

Here. Me. Now. is an empathy game for 2-4 players. Sign up for my tiny newsletter at http://specialsnowflakegames.com to access an archive (currently just one email long) with a link to the game.

Have you ever replayed a challenging experience from earlier in your life? Talking about it can help. I made a game for that. It's not Restorative Justice—you don't necessarily get to talk with the other people who were involved—but playtesters say that despite focusing on trauma it's "fun, not heavy," "refreshing and enlivening," and "mellow, emotional, and relaxing."
