What sorcery is this!

Smart Reply - a deep neural network that writes email

Replying to an emails on a mobile device can be a challenge, even for short replies. What if there were a system that could automatically determine if an email was answerable with a short reply, and compose a few suitable responses that you could edit or send with just a tap?

Smart Reply, which will be launching later this week, is built on a pair of recurrent neural networks, one used to encode the incoming email and capture the gist of what is being said and the other to predict and compose grammatically correct possible responses.

THE GOOGLE PHONE doesn't add up
Can I just say that the difference between building your own phone from scratch vs co-designing one with an OEM is probably very small, with the big difference being that a from-scratch build will piss off a lot of OEMs?

Like would anyone significantly complain about a Nexus device based on the HTC 10? That hardware is fine. It's the software that matters, and Google already has full control over that with the Nexus program. So what exactly would it be gaining here?

Also this would mean Google is going to release THREE phones in the next six months?!
Rumors say Google wants to build hardware from scratch, but what will that accomplish?

It's great to see +Apple standing up for their customers' privacy. Those in favour of the "backdoor" don't fully understand the repercussions of the same.
+Google+Microsoft Corporation  and other major corporations need to step up and start being more vocal about this.

Google is internally testing Google Music in India. I accidentally got access to an internal build of the Play Store. Pics as proof. Let me know if you need more.
