I had been going to Doctors Brian and Bob when they were at the APL and have followed them ever since. While some of the personnel has changed the service and care has remained outstanding. It is a walk-in clinic and they do get extremely busy on occasions but it is worth the wait. You need to be realistic and understand that at times as with any place of business issues do come up on their side but they definitely do their best to address your concerns and the needs of your pet. Your pet is their primary concern and they discuss things with you so you know what the issue(s) are and what options you have. And my pets don't seem to mind going there!!

As a professional pet and service dog trainer on east side of Cleveland but serving Northeast Ohio and beyond, and living and working with a wide variety of dogs and cats in my care -- some my own, some training or rescue projects that stay for a bit -- I have worked with a lot of veterinarians and veterinary practices over the years. I have been meaning to use Gateway for years -- partly due to my frustration with different aspects of different practices closer to home I have used -- and partly because of the reputation in the community of the care and compassion showed by the medical staff at Gateway. I finally had my opportunity when a rescue kitten I had opted to keep as my own needed her immunizations and ultimately, a spay surgery. I tried to go during what I anticipated MIGHT be a slow time -- you never know in a place that helps keep costs down by being a drop in clinic -- and I ended up waiting about an hour for her first appointment. Neither the kitten nor I stressed too much about it my kitten was relaxed and friendly during her medical assessment and shots. Our return trip for spay surgery and boosters went very well -- drop off was easy and smooth, front office staff were friendly and helpful, and pick up was trouble free. Cat has made a smooth and wonderful recovery and is as loving and maniacal as ever. I will be returning to Gateway again when needed! Hopefully, not soon!

As someone that never reviews anything, i wanted to take some time an review Gateway. This place has always gone above and beyond for my pup. They are honest and straightforward with you. You can tell they care about the animals based on their attitude towards them. Both the front desk and the doctors are friendly and talkative to the pets. But that is what you expect from any good vet. Gateway sets itself apart by caring for the person too. They offer advice on alternative care (when its available), for people with strict budgets and are always very respectful. Most importantly they answer all of your questions fully and make sure you and your pet leave, feeling comfortable.

Dr. Liz took good care of my cat Max he had a fever and was dehydrated she gave him antibiotic and eye drops and he started feeling better. There was one incident that I did not care for being under stress of my baby being ill the cashier totalled my charges and it was more than what I had she was very dry and unfriendly and did not try to help. I explained that I was quoted a different price for blood work, but she kept saying you need to pay the total I informed her that I had 140.00 and the total was 206.00 and I would bring the balance the next day she still kept saying you need to pay the total. I asked her to speak with Dr. Liz and she said ok, so so happy and appreciate what she did for Max and I. Thank you, Dr. Liz

Amazing staff, very affordable as far as vets go. I've taken both my dog and my cat here for years. The wait isn't bad at all weekday mornings. I went recently on a Monday at 11am and I was the only one in there. They're awesome. (And yes, even the front desk staff.)

I've taken my high-energy, somewhat accident prone Australian Cattle Dog mix to Gateway several times now. I've worked with Dr. Jenn since from Oliver *loved* her and we've had great experiences. The front desk staff, assistants and Dr. Jenn all genuinely cared for Oliver and figured out the best and most effective care plan for him. Thanks Gateway! Oliver and I will be patients for life :)

Was very happy with this clinic for about 10 years but lately there are waits of 1 - 2+ hours and it isn't really a low cost alternative anymore. I've been bringing the same cat the entire time but they have stopped looking at her previous records so quite often it's the scenario of a new vet seeing a new cat. Asking for the previous vet sometimes works but you have to ask for the previous records to be reviewed. The many dogs in the waiting room is also stressful for the cat. They have diagnosed the cats OK though. If you have an emergency they will take you ahead of the others but you have to announce it and not take a number.

I've been with Dr Brian and Dr Bob since their days at the APL. They are the best. I just could not take the front desk treating me so poorly. Ive put up woth it for years.They are rude and condescending and the reason the clenic has loss so many clients. Get rid of them all. Remember " people may not remember what you said but, they do remember how you made them feel" -Maya Angelo
