Great episode, but I believe execution only comes once it is realize there is no choice, but to take initiative. The whole saying on the guy's t-shirt can never be accounted for until someone is put into the position where they either have to succeed or die. You don't eat until you're hungry and you don't move until an internal force greater than the one keeping you still forces you to and that force isn't the comfort of a motivation speech. It's usually the discomfort from not having the things that are keeping you standing still in the first place.
The motivational speech is only there to make you "aware" or "curious" of a spoken internal potential, but power isn't supplied based on a want/whim, but a demand. When we speak on success we sometimes talk of passion. Your passion has to be so great that it discomforts you from w/e else you been passionately giving your attention to; thus "demanding" that you succeed in order to quell its burning fire (discomfort). Being a minority or just being human, pain, fear, strong passions like even sex pushes us. These a instinctual, but in today's world there exist so many passive ways to quell these passions just enough as to make any need for movement obsolete.
Finally no one subjects themselves to further discomfort unless the success they which to achieve its passions carry a burden greater than the obstacles and misfortunes the journey to them will bring if not started at all.
