I enjoy watching your videos, but I doubt I'd pay $4/episode. I have too many things that I find interesting, so I only occasionally watch one of your videos here on google+ (I don't follow you anywhere else).
I could see paying for a social-media site like 'ello if it had a good set of features, and a reasonably low price. Consider WhatsApp. (Not that I pay for WhatsApp, but charging for the service has worked out well for them). The big question is whether everyone I keep in touch with would also be willing to pay. I'm on facebook most of all the social sites, but I do hate many of their activities with collecting data and re-ordering (and totally destroying the order) of posts in my news feed. I'd love to abandon it, but I keep going there because it's the only social network site which has drawn in many of my non-computer relatives.
I'm not on 'ello yet, so I have no idea if I'd like it. I've been on a variety of social networking or chat services since the early 1980's, so I have a lot of experience with them. They can be very valuable, but they can be very time-consuming too. It's especially annoying when some of the reason for the time-lost is that they're so busy trying to push users towards various ads.
