Back in the day, I used Snopes.com. Lately, I find I am using http://quoteinvestigator.com/ more. So many false quotes that people blindly believe because they 'read it somewhere.'  Come on people, don't believe everything you read! </end_soapbox>

Your government in action. Is it for you or against you?

We've heard from General Motors, Cleveland Cavaliers' owner Dan Gilbert, and the pundits. But how do you feel about Gov Rick Snyder signing the "Anti-Tesla Motors" into law?

http://blog.caranddriver.com/unplugged-michigan-governor-signs-gm-supported-anti-tesla-bill-into-law/
General Motors, the largest U.S.-based automaker, released a statement today supporting a last-minute addition to Michigan House Bill 5606 that would effectively prohibit Tesla from selling cars in the state using its preferred business model, or even providing customers with information about its cars. It’s the classic David-versus-Goliath tale, where Goliath wants the state of Michigan […]

When you say, ‘I have nothing to hide,’ you’re saying, ‘I don’t care about this right.’ You’re saying, ‘I don’t have this right, because I’ve got to the point where I have to justify it.’ The way rights work is, the government has to justify its intrusion into your rights.

+Gary Samson I don't even need to go that far. You've probably broken a half dozen laws in the last 24 hours, sometimes knowingly. ("25mph speed limit? Really?") Now just imagine someone with a bone to pick wants knowledge of those infractions.

There are more simple answers to the problem but this is a fun thought exercise.
Anyone wanting to avoid being caught out by speed cameras can do so very simply - by obeying the speed limits.

The first step to recovery is acknowledging you have the problem. If you think you don't have any mixed messages in your organization, I am sorry but you have further to go.

Mixed messages are inevitable, but fortunately, you can help your team avoid frustration.

Yes, there is such a thing as sugarplums and they really are good eats.

Small park space and activity center sandwiched between busy streets and car dealerships. 3 stars because even a small green space is better than more run down buildings.

It is a pub that will do in a pinch. It has to do because there isn't much for options in the Fairwood area. The decor feels dated, the service is reasonable and the food is typical pub fare. Generally, it bores the hell out of me. I have been a few times but dont intend to make it a destination. The place clearly has some regulars.

Jacks is in a strange location next to a vet and a waxing business, in a strip mall. It has a good layout inside for a sports pub with lots of TV's, arcade games, a modern juke box, etc. It is clean and well maintained. The bar is tucked in the back and the rest of the floor space is open. The atmosphere is dimly lit and slightly noisy. About what one should expect from a sports pub. The beer was standard Northwest selections, nothing to write home about. Menu was longer than I expected and the appetizers were hot and fresh. Again, typical pub fare. Service was friendly but slow. There was not much of a crowd, so I am not sure where she kept dissappearing to. Plenty of free parking. Nothing remarkable here but it is a good place to hang out at if you are in the area and looking for a beer.
