Read this statistic for an eye opener about just how much of the Internet you are not seeing: "Ninety-six percent of the Internet isn't accessible through standard search engines. Most of it's useless but it's where you go to find anything and everything: child porn, Bitcoin laundry, narcotics, hackers for hire ..." Fortunately it is an Internet that most of us don't care about. BUT - it is also full of an element that means to do you harm via electronic means or otherwise.
There's much more to the Internet than what you can stumble upon with Google. Hidden sites can market drugs and weapons illegally, but they also provide anonymity for political dissidents.

I am not sure what bothers me more, that I've read quite a few of the books on his list or I haven't heard about quite a few of the books on his list!

So if $70K is the happiness benchmark at which one doesn't get any happier financially; why do so many go on to make so much more money than this? It would be considered a paltry amount by a LOT of people, though probably around 2% of the population or some percentage south of the 1%.

So - it appears girls do have 'cooties' yet don't see a similar disease for boys. I remember the ONLY reason I ever told girls they had cooties was to get their attention and get closer to them in the process. If they had cooties I wanted to get them not run from them.

The article has links to get the vendor solicitation. I was fascinated by this effort by an entity with DEEP pockets to develop software systems that don't need upgrades for a 100 years.

I would speculate that the net increase's for the 90% versus for the 1% are not equal with the 1% accumulating much more wealth in this time period.

Interesting bit on the Ruble's rise in the past two months. But as the article states the cliff is around the corner...
The ruble was the world's worst performing currency against the dollar in 2014, but it's the best performing one so far in 2015.

Driven to constantly grow in all areas, succeed at my job with integrity and solid ethics while contributing to the greater good for all.
I am in the business and IT consulting industry  in the role of selling Oracle's Advanced Customer Services to our Strategic Accounts. I am very technology literate not only from working in the industry but from the first time I got a 386 computer and taking it apart to find out what made it work and tweaking it to improve it functionality going forward.

I have been a voracious reader ever since I can remember so see this interest in computers as an extension of data and information access and how to leverage the same to everyone's best interests.
