Nikon had this set up at CES in Las Vegas. I can't really imagine building a rig like this for less than $30K so it isn't really that crazy of a thing to have, especially if you can rent it out once a month.  You could probably shave quite a bit off if you found a solution that uses cheaper cameras.

It seems that HP Laserjet 4000 printers are widely known as being work horses that are basically indestructible. I have one at my studio an for the last 10 or more years it has probably printed close to 6000 pages a year.  Last year it started making grinding noises and eventually we could only feed single sheets.

Today I typed in "Hp Laserjet 4000 not feeding paper" and after looking at the number one result led me to google "Hp Laserjet 4000 torque limiter" with led me to realize there is a clutch in this printer that prevents multiple sheets from feeding at one time, the clutch has a magnet and overtime wear and tear on the metal pieces in the printer cause metal filings to build up which gums up the clutch and prevents any pages from feeding at all and makes a really bad grinding noise.

Anyway, you don't need any tools to take it apart, and I tested it by taking the clutch out and printing and it worked just fine.  I printed 400 pages without it.  While those were printing, I took the little clutch apart and removed some of the metal filings and put it back together, then put it back into the printer and bam I'm on my next 350 pages and it is going strong.

You can't imagine how good it feels to fix something you know nothing about just by figuring it out yourself.  I don't know if this is a coincidence, but today was the first day I ever wore a multi-tool on my belt.

I highly endorse searching google for stuff that you don't know how to do.  There is bound to be a forum with hundreds of people with your exact problem, and a few with a good solution.  Some people even mark their questions solved so you can search for your problem with the word solved at the end to make it easier to actually find useful info.

I saw a salamander on my way home from work at 11:30 last night, so I stopped to take a photo. I think the only salamanders we have here in Medicine Hat are Tiger Salamanders.

This place serves pizza by the slice or whole. I really enjoyed it andc the owner provided top notch service cutting my slice into smaller pieces specifically for my 2 year old.

The Thai Orchid Room is my favourite restaurant in Medicine Hat. The food is fantastic, the servers are very nice, and I have enjoy it every time I have eaten there.
