Wow. I haven't been following the story of Serial since the podcast ended, but this popped up today.
Remember how Don was ruled out as a suspect in Hae Min Lee’s murder because he had an alibi? Yeah, about that…

I think Netflix should make a new series based on Scrambles.

An article written after the killings in Santa Barbara in 2014, that is still just as true today. Gun violence is a problem.
We as a nation don't care about any number of murdered children, no matter how many, or how young. We want our guns.

Hating Apple at the moment. The iOS 9 upgrade screwed up my calendar and wiped my contacts. In an effort restore from a backup my phone had to be completely reset. Now no backups will work. What's the point of backups if they can't be restored?

This is becoming a disturbing trend...
Golden Road Brewing, the largest craft brewery in Los Angeles, is being acquired by beer giant Anheuser Busch.

InBev is truly afraid of independent craft brewers. They are trying to bribe distributors to limit craft brews. I guess they really don't like competition, especially competition that has a superior product.
Anheuser-Busch InBev’s new plan to reverse declining volumes in the U.S.—by rewarding distributors who focus on brands like Budweiser and Bud Light—is raising alarm among craft brewers who worry it will make it harder to get shelf space for their IPAs and porters.

If inBev buys another great brewery and you stop buying the beer you liked only because of the ownership, you fall into the reason this article is true.  When you condemn the product because of the owner you might become the actual problem.  Now if there are 100 other local choices for you well consider yourself blessed.  A lot of us live with only <5 breweries nearby.  We do not have the availability you do.

Now if InBev were able to distribute that great beer to us we could now have it.  That is the problem I face.  My distributors cannot get shelf space for the product.  Some stores, Kroger, only have cold and give no room to non refrigerated that are near me.

Based on past experience, I'm sure this is awesome.  Probably the best food I've ever eaten was a carnivore stout cake with bacon, caramel, and Obsidian stout at Deschutes in Bend. I had it two years ago and haven't tasted anything as good since.

Did you know that we make all of our desserts in house at our brew pubs? This Peanut Butter Pie is so delicious you'll be coming back the next day for more. Oh, and it pairs great with Black Butte Porter.

Dogfish Head has sold 15% of the company to a private equity firm. DFH is one of the most respected craft brew brands, I wonder how much 15% of the brand is worth?

I also wonder what this means for DFH's future. With other breweries selling out (in part or in full) DFH could be feeling pressure to grow their footprint and increase capacity beyond their recent expansion.
Dogfish Head, the country’s 13th largest craft brewery, today announced it has sold a 15 percent stake to LNK Partners, a New York-based private equity firm that has previously invested in companies like Niman Ranch, Performance Bicycle, Beachbody and Au Bon Pain, among others. LNK will obtain one seat on Dogfish Head’s board of directors, which currently has five voting members, as well as informal advisors.

Better a small percentage to a Private Equity Firm than a large percentage to a big brewery.

Man, iOS 9 has been a much tougher transition that I expected. Calendar won't sync, Control Center audio always defaults to Music even though that's not the last thing I listened to, recent calls is showing calls to/from my kids phones, and worst of all my battery life is considerably worse.

I thought this update was adding some stability, but there are a lot of little things annoying me.

Introduction
Raising three daughters, and trying to keep my head above water. I've been in the training and eLearning development world for a very long time and currently work in the telecommunications industry focusing on customer training.

I spend a lot of time taking pictures. I'm not a professional photographer, just a serious hobbyist. It's the one creative outlet I have that I get to share with others.

You might know me as AlwaysBreaking from other social networks.

In the past I was an avid cyclist, but these days I don't ride very often. I'm working on that.

I like beer. I don't like to drink a lot, but enjoy a good craft beer now and then. OK, maybe a little more often than that. In moderation.

The best Chinese food I've ever had. Order anything on the menu and you won't be disappointed.

We had breakfast, which was good, but not outstanding. There are definitely better places to have breakfast in the area. The service was ok, not as good as I expected.
