Keynote Speaker, Bestselling Author and Consultant
Introduction

CEO of The Houston based training company Wynn Solutions

Garrison helps people make the jump from being great at what they do to developing the qualities it takes to be consistently chosen for the job. He gets them to understand why their products, services, or leadership styles—or those of their competitors— are selected. As he says, “If the world agreed on what’s best, everybody would choose the best and nothing else would be considered. Decision making doesn’t work that way.” His presentations help people become more influential regardless of circumstances.

Garrison has presented to some of the world's most effective leaders and business developers, from multibillion-dollar manufacturers and national associations to top New York Stock Exchange wire houses. He has a background in manufacturing, telecomm, and financial services and toured as a professional stand-up comedian. In his teens, Garrison worked with Magnavox and baseball legend Hank Aaron to promote the world's first video gaming system, and by age 27 he became the youngest department head in a Fortune 500 company's history. He researched and designed processes for 38 locations nationwide and developed and marketed products still being sold in 30 countries. He is the author of the Amazon.com bestseller The REAL Truth About Success, has contributed weekly to The Washington Post, and has coauthored with Stephen Covey. He is also a chemical plant explosion survivor who helps organizations communicate safety more effectively. His award-winning success tools receive high praise, but his greatest strength is a magnetic live performance that keeps him in high demand, with more than 600 inquiries and 100 speaking dates per year.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS CRAPPY HOTEL! THEY SHOULD ALLOW YOU TO GIVE ZERO STARS BECAUSE THIS PROPERTY DOES NOT RATE A STAR! I am a Marriott Platinum member and travel all over the world and know how hotels can be and have "experienced expectations". This place is a complete fail. The decor is very poorly done overall. They did not hire a real design firm (a trend i am seeing) and its laughably awful. The LGBT theme is welcomed and a nice idea but you need some actual design skill . The staff is kind of willing but untrained and just don't really know how hotels work or understand customer service. The walls are thin and it's weirdly noisy for a modern hotel (you can hear your neighbors TV at a normal level) in fact you can hear the elevator go up and down all over each floor. I was 5 rooms back from the elevator shaft and it sounded like my room shared a wall with the shaft (very cheap/poor construction). The late night menu is the worst. The plastic containers and bad options are one thing but the food was just AWFUL!! The salad dressing (which they must make in house because it would never pass any inspection in a food processing plant) was GROSS. It was trying to be anchovy flavored garlic (pretty ambitious to serve in a plastic container) but it tasted like the bad breath of a long deceased shark! It was literally the worst thing I have ever put in my mouth and I have eaten stinky fruit in Jakarta and Rotten fish in Nigeria. Evan at the front desk however was very professional and competent. He had more of corporate feel than hotel-ish service but was the best part of the experience. This hotel is just a FAILED experiment. And, Marriott should get honest with themselves and admit it... and fix it! If you want to charge $375 a night for the standard room you will need to spend more time and money on the property. Profitability will never compensate you for embarrassment!. All conventions should STAY AWAY (I speak at conventions for a living so trust me on this). So to recap: If you want good late night food, nice decor, skilled staff, a good nights rest and a comfy bed (yeah, it seems they share the same bed vendor as Motel 6) this is NOT the place. I love Marriott and refer my clients conventions and have written good things about them in the Washington Post (don't worry I will not submit a review to the media) I just think honesty is best here about this"LOSER" of hotel.
