Lots to do and see. The Ghost Town was well done, and the Railway Museum and antique autos were great as well. Lovely creek running through to the lake and you can rent kayaks very affordably. The gardens were lovely as well. We were thoroughly charmed. Certainly an excellent value for the price. No air conditioning in the room so a consideration on a very hot day. The breeze from the lake and a fan helped so we weren't uncomfortable.

An old favourite that I missed when I moved to Nanaimo. Just visited again and it did not disappoint. Great lunch, large portions and excellent service. The only problem is I had no room for the fantastic desserts so my wife and I plan to get back for a dessert night out before we have to go back home,
