Yes, certainly the original choices (and the fact that this post is in the Productivity community) influenced my own. And at the time, I thought purely in terms of mobile apps (because I tend to use ToDoist mostly on my phone, so I associate mobile with "Productivity"), but I have other tools which I use too on both mobile and desktop.
On both platforms I use (different) multiple clipboard apps (Clipper+ with Sync on Android, and Arsclip on Windows. I couldn't live without either.
On Windows, I make heavy use of AutoHotKey for certain work tasks which would be interminably tedious without my scripts.
So, in the strictest sense of productivity (i.e. tools that enable me to get stuff done), I would have to claim those in addition to Evernote and ToDoist (plus Calendar for planning, co-ordinating and communicating events with others).
There are probably others that just chug along in the background that I don't even think about. Somebody once asked for the top 10 mobile apps that I couldn't do without. ISTR my "must have" list included over 20.
Honestly, if I had to pick just 3, I'm not sure what I would drop.
