To Dream a Dream: Exhibition of paintings by Stanislav Plutenko and Georgy Kurasov

Location: Mercato, 9115 Strada Place, #5130

11/16/2018 - 11/30/2018

Psychologists advise us to be attentive to our dreams – through them our sub-conscious talks to us: advising, warning and …inspiring! Stanislav Plutenko says that he sees the themes and characters for his paintings in his vivid and lucid dreams. His magnificent new surreal works “Dream” and “Magic Carpet” are a reenactment of his dreams.

Georgy Kurasov is more of a day-dreamer. Inseparable with his muse and his wife Zina, he paints only her – the woman of his dreams: placing his ideal in the ideal world of his paintings. We see Zina depicted as Europa, abducted by Zeus, or in a completely different contemporary setting: reclining, smoking and drinking wine with a melancholy aura. We will present these rarely seen works of art in our gallery.

Why did we chose to live and run our East West Fine Art Gallery business in Naples?

Excerpt from the Collier EDO post:

The quality of residents that live in Naples is very important to my family. The sense of connection and tight-knit community is very rare to find these days. People are sincerely interested in each other, supportive and pro-active.

Naples has an incredibly friendly business environment. The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce is a tremendous asset and an invaluable resource for every business.

Selling art, however, is only a part of the business. To share my love of art with the community – is equally important. Naples offers a broad audience of art lovers – people of all ages and backgrounds.

Finally, I applaud the Chamber’s Leadership Collier program that provided me with a platform to deepen my professional relationships, and to find common ground with new people who I meet. As a small business owner, these relationships are invaluable. The connections I made also make me feel that I can easily get involved in any number of causes and projects that will make a positive impact on the community. The Leadership Collier alum network is strong, active, and a wonderful resource for expanding your knowledge of local issues and networking.

In the November issue of Naples Illustrated!

After visiting an orphanage in Belarus more than a decade ago, American painter Nick Kosciuk was struck by the abandoned children living there, quickly becoming at advocate for them through his oil paintings that capture their beauty and vulnerability.

Since then, Kosciuk has taken numerous trips back to Belarus, bringing donations from his art sales to the orphanages and returning to the United States with stories of the children and hundreds of photographs he uses as reference material for his works.

You can view his latest paintings at East West Fine Art’s exhibit, “A Butterfly Has Three Lives – Portraits of Children by Nick Kosciuk”, from November 16 to December 7.

The painter will make an appearance at the gallery’s opening reception pm Thursday, November 16, at 6p.m. to talk about his interactions with the children and their influence on his work.

Thrilled to show a sneak peak at our newest collection of Russian Fine Art Gifts!
Imported directly from the master-workshops in Russia, genuine Kholui lacquer boxes and Zlatoust hunting knives are exquisite rare treasures.

Adhering to rigorous standards, the miniature paintings depict Russian Fairytales and festive winter scenes. The elaborately engraved Damascus steel hunting knives are adorned with gold, silver, gemstones, and leather. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind work of art, created by highly trained artisans and brought to Naples for the first time by East West Fine Art.
