What a wonderful focus for the community +Tina Boomerina !! Thank you so much for inviting me. I'd love to take your challenge and offer another mechanism through our networks of companies, employers, publications, media, websites, conferences, etc in which you can identify Boomers by their talent (as you mentioned writing for example) and we can help promote each person to connect them and encourage those that are hiring for projects etc to hire the Boomers- as you suggest. I'm making the offer public- but also please feel free to email me directly so we can talk about moving forward with a positive collaboration to meet your goals. It's a brilliant idea you have and I'd love to play my bit part in helping anyway I can. I started (remember- it's just the start- help!!) a list of Baby Boomer resources - anyone can add, vote, embed, etc- it's just getting started, and an example of where we can rely on Boomer input to really say what are the best online resource for and by Boomers. Looking forward!

This is so very sad when with current modular and energy efficient, sustainable buildings combined with what we know about experience design and universal design in learning. These buildings could be the highlight areas of old schools rather than a depressing non-solution to education that already faces serious hurdles.  The Perkins School example at the end of the video by SEED is a great example of how "portable" classrooms could enhance learning and health rather than detract from them. It would be wonderful for students to be a part of the design process of such spaces from the very start.

Transportation is a huge issue for patients and caregivers. Do you have personal stories of how transportation has helped or hindered your life or the life of someone you love?  Here is an example of design that helps people use buses.
Learn how the design and features of a bus can impact the day and lives of tens of millions of people and families.

You are starting to see some great example of sensory- please ask questions, provide input, and invite others into the community so we can have a great mix from parents, teachers, physicians, manufacturers, installers, OT's, mental health providers and the so many who care about sensory and all it can do!  We'll be doing a full month in our multi-media editorial schedule for sensory this year including chats, interviews, video and events- please reach out if you'd like to be a part of the planning, expert contributors, and/or more!

Thank you for inviting me.  I could use help- I've started a list with related pin-boards and others on resources for Baby Boomers (Boomerina is already listed).  If you could add resources, vote, etc- it will be going into our editorial schedule for a month long multi-platform splash of resources, interviews and more by and for Baby Boomers. There are also a number of other lists in resources that apply for Boomers.  Senserit's sites are meant to bring together other experts (not that we are the expert) so anyone interested in learning about contributing, being interviewed or having a network (radio and/or video) and/or getting free attendance at events to give Boomers a voice - please let me know.  Thank you for your input!!

Introductions, Interests, Requests  -

I've been overwhelmed by the thousands of people who have taken such interest in any article, photos or posts put out about sensory. In response, we'll be completely redoing a full program with special focus just for sensory- including separations by diagnosis/need like autism, Alzheimer's, pain management; user: caregiver, provider, designer; and use of sensory e.g. fidgets, sensory gyms, rooms in education and healthcare, home sensory rooms, experience and service design for retail and hospitality using sensory, etc. Please be in touch with me personally if you're passionate about sensory, already have a blog or network or products that you'd like to include, and/or are sensory interested for personal or professional reasons. Thanks! And you can see more at our sensory boards like https://www.pinterest.com/gailzahtz/sensory-rooms-items/ Thank you so much for the interest and showing the need for sensory information, resources, products and community in the various outlets we have- especially where we're farther behind in North America (and we could use all the help we can get from those in Europe and Asia who are already integrating sensory in regular design of homes and commercial spaces as well as in education, healthcare and aging. Look forward to hearing from you! Just email me! And also feel free to invite others to this group, or think about how this may best serve the large and under-served populations and connect products/solutions with users in the best ways. I'm certain we only hit the tip of the iceberg in the other forums we have on sensory- and the combined effort, including a truly maintained community here- could be a real asset. Please share your thoughts and send along to others you know who are passionate about sensory so we can get the broadest input from the beginning before anything is public. You can also feel free to email to directly. Thanks!!

In the spirit of community (and honestly need to keep helping at the rate of growth which has been 100% self- funded) we're giving the chance to help other causes and small businesses.  While we'll be growing with investment and clients- this is being offered first and for the only time at the "perk" prices to make possible the type of coverage and design help that so many need but can't afford.

Introduction

I: create communities; engage; give people their voice; tell their stories. Why do stories matter? No one wants your "message". Tell an authentic story which connects people.

Give me a platform- I will create a movement.

No longer a broadcast society; users, listeners, employees, viewers, audiences, customers each has a voice, a story, and craves safe community support with trusted information, interaction, and recommended resources.

Not another guru turned social- I've lived and worked this way in 2 decades of health and strategic communications- in every medium- from print to network, events to policy. I have grown with my experience to a leader in the health + design industries.

I can:
1) Partner to grow existing communities I've built
2) Create new communities unique to your needs and
3) Represent your organization, and/or partner through television/video, radio and/or online.

- Founder Top 10 health chats- reaching over 7 million an hour; engaging international healthcare leaders daily. Grown from chat to radio, video, online communities, social campaigns.

As a brand: Trust I've earned transfers to programs and projects that improve millions. After stints on every side of media, from Today Show guest to 20/20 producer, publisher of a weekly newspaper- I understand each media role. I'm currently looking for the right partnerships that enable a talk show that integrates my many communities and initiatives.

"Big Ideas"  Health Strategist- Consultant with fabulous healthcare minds around the world.  20 years in health communications.  Creator of hundreds of health collaborations, initiatives and public-private partnerships.

Serial Social Entrepreneur- Been working on Life Guide Institute for the past several years to create solutions for trusted information, communication and resources to re-empower the physician- patient relationship.  Bentley & Company Public Relations firm with an emphasis on cause-related marketing in healthcare | Brought Working Weekly to a $100 million valuation with a $1.8 million raise in under 6 months | Created an e-commerce company with 100% positive feedback | Ran a consulting company evaluating and writing businesses plans, operations and M&A's for everything from a new pharmaceutical to a REIT | Current venture continuing 20 years of passionate work for better healthcare:  Life Guide Institute:  Re-engaging the trusted physician-patient relationship through accurate content, secure communications, and physician-led recommendations for resources.

Most Proud of What Doesn't Fit in a CV:  My friends and children know three things they can always count on: 1) I won't lie. 2) I keep my promises. 3) I always have their back- loyal to a fault.  The things I have done that have taken the most courage and strength are probably those things that the least people know- but each one of them enables me to face the mirror.

The greatest honor I have received:  The absolutely spectacular people who have given me their trust, their loyalty, and their support.

Cause to which I am most committed:  Advocating for the 1 in 5 women and their children who live at the hands of domestic violence.  Trying to help end the stigma about mental illness.

What drives me:  To leave the world better than I found it;  to create something that outlives me, and matters.

We can take extraordinary challenges in our lives and let them kill what is good within us, or we can make them matter by helping others.
