Okay, I watched the video and "scream" is the right word. A hundred of those things playing at once would be TERRIFYING.
When odd, skull-shaped grave items were found by archaeologists decades ago at an Aztec temple in Mexico, they were assumed to be mere toys or ornaments, and were catalogued and stored in warehouses. However, years later, experts discovered they were

At 0:28 they kick it and it just feels wrong.

Also, every time I see one of these I now immediately think of the movie Young ones (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2693664/)

I'm pretty sure Perren isn't suggesting that we call the SPCA (SPCR?) on Boston Dynamics. It looks to me more like he's acknowledging and expressing an interest in a natural emotional reaction to the kick.

According to the research of author David Simon, the externalized cost of our animal food system totals about $414 billion per year, which is carried by all of us.

+Gabriel Perren sorry for the unlucky construction, it was dark night here ;)
I did expect that meat can't be as cheap as it is (Germany has horribly cheap meat, you can get minced meat for less than 2€/kg sometimes) without anyone throwing in some money.
On the other hand this is EU, we're paying millions for agricultural protectionism…

"The political clash over climate change has entered new territory that does not involve a massive oil pipeline or a subsidy for renewable energy, but a quaint federal chart that tries to nudge Americans toward a healthy diet.
The food pyramid, that 3-decade-old backbone of grade-school nutrition lessons, has become a test case of how far the Obama administration is willing to push its global warming agenda.
The unexpected debate began with a suggestion by a prominent panel of government scientists: The food pyramid — recently refashioned in the shape of a dinner plate — could be reworked to consider the heavy carbon impact of raising animals for meat, they said. A growing body of research has found that meat animals, and cows, in particular, with their belching of greenhouse gases, trampling of the landscape and need for massive amounts of water, are a major factor in global warming".

As usual, out of line comments (i.e.: bacon "jokes" and the likes) will be swiftly deleted. Thank you.

You don't need to eat eggs. There are many great replacements.

Even the ranchers and slaughterhouses are having a problem with this outfit...
In the past 50 years, meat has gotten less fatty and easier to chew — thanks in part to the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center. But the achievement has come at a steep cost to the lab’s animals.
