Today I brewed a decoction mash for the first time in a couple years. I'm pleased it went as well as it did.

I finally got around to calibrating both of my monitors to each other today. Man, it looks good!

Lagom.nl it's the best one that I've seen. It's web based, so independent of your monitor or video cards calibration settings. Being web based, it presents some limitations if you are in Firefox, apparently.

Fantastic townie bar, where the menu is simple, the staff genial and where everyone is there to have a good time.

The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The beer tends to be on the sweeter side in general, with occasional noticeable flaws. The high ceilings and HVAC equipment make for poor acoustics- it gets loud when crowded. The seating is repurposed church pews, efficient for seating people; but as any churchgoer could tell you, not built for comfort. The bar is poorly laid out, and service inefficient, lending to long lines to get a beer.

Come here by daylight for a comfy cup of coffee or a hot espresso, come here at night for a pint and sit down with friends. Plenty of tables and good WiFi. The food and pastries are solid, and the service fast and pleasant.

Great beans, nice and clean and quiet. Just off main St so it's easy to get to, but not crazy busy.

Plenty of taps, mostly Michigan Craft beers. Served from clean taps. The service is great, but at times slow. The taplist is large but not often updated. The food is bar fare, but excellent and with some unique interpretations. The popcorn is free but overly salted.

Best coffee around! This is just the roasting company and storefront, so don't go here expecting a sit down coffee shop.

Well cooked food, done in virtually any manner that you desire. Even when busy they are still pretty fast, too.
