#Dodge #Challenger #SRT #Demon Packs Fantastic Power

Though the Dodge brand has been known to provide drivers with family-oriented vehicles, the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is anything but accessible. Standard equipped with the only seat, it is a care made for a select few. With no passenger seats, and by extension no passengers, this vehicle is designed for solo drives and specialized performance. Its unveiling turned heads in the automotive world, and fans of the brand were incredibly excited when the vehicle's details were revealed.

The car sets itself apart in terms of the engine as much as it does in the initial interior arrangement. The Demon features an 840 horsepower and 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine. This made history as being the most impressive V8 engine to ever be put inside a relatively ordinary production car. This means that the Demon has the most power of any factory-produced muscle car in history. Previously, the record was held by the Dodge Challenger Hellcat, which clocked in at an impressive 707 horsepower.

The Demon can't seem to stop breaking records either, as it has already set the record for fastest quarter-mile drive by any factory production car in history. As certified under the National Hot Rod Association, the Demon began at a dead stop and then made the entire drag strip drive in just under 10 seconds. On top of that, the car also has the fastest time for going from 0 to 60 of any production vehicle. Drivers should be prepared, however, for this type of acceleration also means that the car has the highest G-force of any other production vehicle, which can feel incredibly disorienting for those not used to it.

Though this may seem like it's already enough for fans, the Demon continues to impress by also setting the record for being the first production vehicle that is able to accelerate so fast and so hard it is able to lift its front wheels up off of the road. This feat was certified in the Guinness Book of World Records, and the record showed that the car's front wheels were able to stay in the air for three feet. Though the car's performance is incredible, Dodge is only planning on releasing 3,300 of the vehicle. This extremely limited run means that it is not meant for everyone, and those who have a certain penchant for the car's intended style of driving will have a lot to look forward to.

What The 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 Rebel Promises To Offer Houston Drivers

The Dodge Ram has been a household name for many years, providing drivers with a broad variety of options for all types of driving situations. Whether you are interested in city driving or something more off-road oriented, the brand has something for you. Recent developments in the company have been favorable, particularly for fans of the brand that are interested in seeing what the 2017 Ram 1500 Rebel has in store for them. This striking truck keeps many classic elements set at the forefront of its design, with plenty of favorable handling changes to make the drive even more enjoyable for all types of road positions.

Drivers will notice that the suspension is one of the standout features of the vehicle. It is designed to improve the smoothness of the ride, optimizing comfort and handling in order to provide drivers with an easier way to keep up with heavier loads. This makes the truck a prime option for those who are interested in using it for professional pursuits. The off-road package that comes with the truck is also advantageous, designed to optimize handling in more difficult road conditions. With such optimizations for off-road comfort, the truck can be an excellent pick for more recreational drivers as well, particularly those who love country driving.

One of the biggest strengths behind this vehicle is its remarkable engine lineup. Drivers have criticized the fact that the Ram just misses a class-leading towing range by several hundreds of pounds, the towing capacity is still incredibly capable, especially when compared to other light truck options. Drivers have the opportunity to take a look at a strong and efficient V6, in addition to a V8 that improves towing capacity. Those with an eye for the economic and powerful can choose the turbocharged diesel V6, which is unique for setting the standard in fuel economy for the truck's class.

Drivers were quick to praise the interior as well. The design of the cabin is meant to be attractive and classic, and it is comfortably quiet, making it perfect for all types of driving. The interface in the cockpit comes with a handy touchscreen that makes customization and digital selection quick and easy. There are plenty of hubs available as well, providing drivers with plug-and-play USB capabilities as well as basic personalization options for longer drives. Few other trucks combine presentation and power in the same way as the 2017 Ram 1500 Rebel.

TEST DRIVING REVIEWS FOR THE DODGE CHALLENGER
From the way it looks to the way it feels, the 2017 Dodge Challenger is meant to be an obvious homage to older styles of vehicles. The fantastic car is retro in its appeal and display, but there is nothing retro about the way it handles in the field. It is responsive to the touch, and many fans of the brand believe that the new Challenger will be an excellent addition to the lineup, capable of keeping up with such names as the Doge Ram and Jeep. The retro-styled coupe showcases wide hips and a definitely macho personality, meant to dazzle and please in any style of driving.

Though it is the slowest addition to the lineup, the 3.6-liter V-6 engine is meant to work well with the all-wheel drive, which provides individuals with a stronger degree of safety and handling, despite the seemingly unnecessary slashes to horsepower. Though there are other vehicles available in the lineup at 425-horsepower, the 2017 Dodge Challenger GT clocks in at 305 horsepower and approximately 270 pound-feet of torque, which makes it more than capable of handling anything on the road. Test drivers were pleased with the handling but found that the vehicle was a little too silent for their tastes, ultimately clash with other vehicles in the Dodge lineup.

Amongst the standard handling features, drivers were pleased with the all-wheel drive system and found that it was the vehicle's biggest asset. Though it is not exceptionally performance-oriented, the driving felt organic and the rubber stuck nicely to the road during the drive. Individuals found that the handling was made all the better for it, and they can see how the additional safety features can be invaluable in the right situation on the road. Clinging to both snow and dirt alike, the vehicle will be able to keep up with harsh handling in all types of road conditions, regardless of where the driver goes.

The interior of the vehicle is a fusion of the old and the new, providing drivers with an elegant way to stay on top of some of their favorite features while enjoying the organic layout within the cockpit. The vehicle is spacious and pleasing, and there is plenty of room for personal touches to make the car feel more at home. Many fans are looking forward to future changes in one of the most iconic vehicles available under the Dodge brand.

The 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Features a Dodge Hellcat Engine

With their 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, Jeep has geared up to join the horsepower wars. This midsize SUV is equipped with a 707-horsepower Dodge Hellcat engine. First introduced in the Dodge Charger and Challengers in 2014, Hellcats are supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engines. The Hellcat has since become a coveted icon of the Dodge name.

The 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is the latest Fiat Chrysler vehicle that focuses more on horsepower than other selling points and attributes such as fuel economy, safety, or technology features. Mike Manley, head of the Jeep brand, explains that the new Grand Cherokee Trackhawk has luxury, refinement, an array of innovative and advanced technology, and of course, performance numbers that are a force to be reckoned with.

In fact, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, which also produced Dodge Ram vehicles, reports that with its Dodge Hellcat engine, the Trackhawk can go from 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds and travel a quarter of a mile in an impressive 11.6 seconds. This impressive engine can produce 645 pound-feet of torque as well. Hellcat engines are crafted from a cast-iron block and have a forged-steel crankshaft featuring induction-hardened bearing surfaces.

With such a wild engine, the makers of the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk knew it would need to come equipped with special equipment to help it handle all of its power. This equipment includes:

• The largest-ever front brakes on a Jeep vehicle with a newly designed Brembo braking system. These brakes are 15.75-inch, two-piece vented rotors with six-piston calipers.
• An upgraded TorgqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission and driveline components which will help handle the additional torque output of the engine.
• A stronger rear axle that is connected to a strengthened rear drive shaft.
• Torque delivery to the rear wheels with a new ultra-high-strength steel half-shafts.
• A cold-air scoop air source in the lower front grille
• A reinforced and tougher front suspension featuring coil springs as well as stronger control arms.

Software controls in the engine and transmission allow the driver of this SUV to switch as needed or desired between five driving modes: automatic, sport, track, as well as tow and snow. The 2018 Trackhawk was also designed with the driver’s personal preferences in mind and provides drivers the ability to custom make their vehicles performance based on their own preferences.

The interior of the Trackhawk is what Fiat describes as driver-focused. The materials are soft to the touch with black chrome finishes and a 7-inch driver information display screen. Pricing has not been released at this time. All Trackhawks are being built at the Jefferson North Assembly Plant in Jefferson, MO. Look for the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk to hit showrooms by the end of 2017.

The 2017 Dodge Charger: Speed Meets Safety

With the introduction of the 2017 Dodge Charger, the automaker was able to snag a top safety rating. While this news may not exactly be welcome to those who like their Chargers lean and mean, it could lead to the car becoming more tempting to other types of car buyers, ones who have families.

The 2017 Charger is available as a four-door coupe. This design feature allows Dodge to offer car buyers the power and performance of the classic muscle car combined with the passenger convenience of a sedan. Dodge is giving car buyers the opportunity to upgrade their Chargers with a 370 horsepower 5.7-liter Hemi engine or a 485 horsepower 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 engine. Those who are highly interested in speed can even purchase a Charger that’s equipped with a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine that produces 707 horsepower. With this engine, the car’s top speed is 204 miles per hour, and it can reach 60 miles per hour in a mere 3.7 seconds.

A 292 horsepower 3.6-liter V6 engine comes standard with the car model as does an eight-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive is standard while all-wheel drive is an optional upgrade. Amenities like a touchscreen audio system, power operated driver’s seat and keyless ignition is included with the Charger. Heated seats, an infotainment system, and 18-inch alloy wheels are available upgrades.

Dodge is currently in the unique position of being able to offer consumers everyday cars with big engines while other carmakers are shifting their focus to smaller vehicles. According to Tim Kuniskis, the head of Dodge’s passenger cars division, the Dodge Charger, and the Challenger account for 40 percent of the country’s total muscle car sales. The Ford Mustang and the Chevy Camaro are Dodge's main competition in this category.

Along with offering car buyers a big engine, the 2017 Dodge Charger features better handling, more responsive braking and higher fuel efficiency than last year’s model. The Charger has also caught the attention of the Traffic Safety Administration by earning five stars for its many safety features.

With the five-star safety rating, the Charger has received the vehicle evaluation program’s highest single safety rating. Not only that, but the car model has also managed to achieve the five-star safety rating for both the all-wheel and rear-wheel editions.

To receive this ranking, Dodge is offering the 2017 Charger with an abundance of high-tech safety gear. For instance, car buyers can purchase a vehicle that has a collision warning system. This advanced system features alerts and autonomous braking. In fact, if warranted, it will bring the vehicle to a complete stop. A lane departure warning system and lane keep assisting ensure that drivers stay on the road and in the proper lane. Blind spot monitors are available with the car model as is adaptive cruise control. Car buyers can also purchase the Charger with a rear cross-traffic alert and a rearview camera.

While gearheads usually focus their devotion on a car's performance, most will appreciate the added safety features of the 2017 Charger since they make it easier to bring the family along for every ride.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV recently announced their plans to release a Jeep Wrangler type pickup truck late in 2019. Although no name has been selected as of yet for this new vehicle, the head of Jeep, Mike Manley, and Sergio Marchionne, Fiat Chrysler CEO, are leaning towards some historical Jeep names.

The last time Jeep had a pickup on the market was the Comanche between 1985 and 1992. It was then discontinued in order for the Dodge brand to focus on their Dakota, which was later discontinued in 2011. Prior to the Comanche, Willys Jeep Truck was available between 1947 and 1965, as was the Jeep Gladiator full-size pickup truck from 1962 to 1971, and the J-series truck between 1971 and 1988. All of the aforementioned trucks were built in Toledo, the same place that the new Jeep truck will be constructed.

For years, the Jeep name has hinted at providing consumers with a pickup model. We’ve seen concepts like the Jeep J-12 in 2012 which was produced for the Moab Easter Jeep Safari event and the Jeep Gladiator, similar to the Jeep Wrangler, that was revealed at the 2005 Detroit Auto Show. However, none of these were ever released on the market to the general public.

Keeping or giving a nod to a historical Jeep name could be somewhat problematic for the brand. Rebecca Lindland, a Cox Automotive executive believes that bringing back previously used names should be carefully considered. For instance, the Comanche name could be considered by many to not be politically correct. Lindland stresses that the success bringing a name back is dependent upon the current culture at the time of its reintroduction.

Bringing back the Willys name might also be a challenge as this name is synonymous with being the holy grail of Jeep. Although, Lindland said Jeep may see success producing the Willys name in a trim line.

For now, Jeep is focused on the launch of its new Wrangler SUV which should occur later this year. This vehicle will also be produced at the Toledo Assembly Complex. The north plant here was recently retooled in order to produce the vehicle. In addition, production of the Dodge Ram 1500 pickup will be moved to the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant. Fiat Chrysler has just invested $1.48 billion on retooling a new Ram which will be released in the first quarter of 2018.

Manley expects that Jeep sales for this year will outreach the 2016 global sales of 1.4 million vehicles.

The year 2017 marks the 80th anniversary of the popular Mopar brand. As a part of this company’s special celebration, Dodge has introduced the limited-edition Mopar 2017 Dodge Challenger. This vehicle was unveiled at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show, which happens to be the biggest auto show in the United States.

No detail has been overlooked when it comes to this limited-edition muscle car. Fittingly, only 80 models will be released in each choice of Pitch Black and Contusion Blue or Pitch Black and Billet Silver. The trim options are custom and hand painted with colors borrowed from the Dodge brand color palette. To further put its stamp on this one-of-a-kind vehicle, Mopar has included Mopar performance parts, accessories, an exclusive owner’s kit, and a serialized badge.

The Mopar brand began in 1937 as an anti-freeze product. It rose to fame during the muscle car era of the 1960s for its quality and reliable parts. Mopar parts have been used in many different vehicles including Dodge, Ram, Chrysler, Jeep. Today Mopar is an international customer-care name with the Mopar 2017 Dodge Challenger being a testament to its philosophy and displaying how the brand can help owners personalize their vehicles.

Every Mopar 2017 Dodge Challenger is based on the Challenger R/T 392. The Mopar 2017 Dodge Challenger takes its place among the line-up of other Mopar vehicles such as the Mopar '11 Charger, Mopar '12 300, Mopar '13 Dart, Mopar '14 Challenger, Mopar '15 Dodge Charger R/T and Mopar '16 Dodge Ram Rebel.

A unique Mopar 392 logo is hand painted on the vehicle, increasing its customized touch. The vehicle has 20 x 9-inch aluminum wheels that feature semi-gloss accents and center caps complete with the Dodge logo. Instead of standard chrome exhaust tips, this 80th-anniversary car has Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat black exhaust tips. Inside, performance seats are customized with embroidered Tungsten Mopar logos on the seatbacks. A Shaker Hood package and a touch of vintage style rounds out its exterior aesthetics.

Equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, its performance matches its eye-catching appeal. A 6.4-liter, 392 HEMI engine delivers 485 horsepower which is designed to be stopped by four-piston Brembo brakes.

The Mopar 2017 Dodge Challenger will be available in the United States and Canada early in the second quarter of 2017. The suggested MSRP, excluding taxes and destination fees, is $55,790.

Dodge Vehicle Lineup News

Fan

Fans of the Dodge brand are excited for the automaker's new lineup, scheduled for 2017. For many manufacturers, tightening operations was a major decision in future lineups, and Dodge has decided to focus all of their attention on making the slotted vehicles some of the best options available for all types of drivers. Currently, Dodge is planning on shrinking their previous lineup by two cars, though there is no cause for alarm for dedicated fans, as there are serious plans to invest heavily on the planned models.

One of the vehicles that has been removed from the lineup is the Dodge Dart, though some dealers may have a large supply of 2016 models available for those who are interested in the brand. This is not particularly surprising for those who keep up with Dodge news, as the Dodge Dart was not one of the brand's strongest-selling vehicles. The Dodge Grand Caravan is also not planned for 2017, though there is a new crossover that many believe will replace the previous vehicle.

One model that many fans are excited about is the new Dodge Viper SRT. This beautiful and iconic sports car was always a steady part of Dodge's lineup, and it is now available with a number of new special models that can draw in fans just hearing about what Dodge has to offer. In even more positive news, the manufacturer is planning an all-wheel drive option for the Challenger coupe, which is something that has been extensively rumored for the past several years. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also available with a number of Dodge models, and fans are excited to keep up with some of the new infotainment system upgrades that are featured on a number of vehicles.

The Dodge Challenger has received some of the biggest changes in this lineup. A new all-wheel drive is available, and all-weather traction features mean that the vehicle is equipped to handle all types of terrain and road conditions. Many of the other vehicles are also slotted to work with new interior software changes, and many fans are excited to work with the improved functionality of their favorite cars. Like many other major releases regarding auto manufacturers, there may be available showings and details planned for the future. Keep your eyes open if you are interested in getting the latest news and events related to Dodge and their products.
