Did you know that our Doulton Ward is named after Henry Doulton? In 1860 he started manufacturing decorative tiles at his factory. He was commissioned to produce several pieces of work for our hospitals including the Wardroper Memorial for the St Thomas’ Chapel and the famous nursery rhyme tiles that can still be seen on the ground floor of St Thomas’ Hospital.

Staff have recommended us as a place to be treated and as a place to work in the latest Staff Friends and Family Test.
Julie Screaton, Director of Workforce, says: “I am pleased to see that our staff continue to recommend Guy’s and St Thomas’ as a place to work and as a place to be treated. The Staff Friends and Family Test is an important snapshot of how our staff feel about working here and the services the Trust provides."

Becket Ward and Stephen Ward have temporarily moved locations and Alexandra Ward is now temporarily closed. This is to allow construction work on our critical care expansion project to be carried out in East Wing, St Thomas' Hospital.
- Stephen Ward has moved to the 9th floor North Wing, St Thomas'.
- Becket Ward has moved to the 7th floor East Wing, St Thomas'.
All services in the wards will remain open throughout the changes and the name and telephone numbers will stay the same. If you have any questions about these changes, please speak with the ward matron.
