Google I/O Extended Beer Sheva, is a place where developers and Google fans can get together and geek out about all the cool things happening at Google I/O.

Dr. Dattner is a statistician and an expert in data science. He has over 15 years of professional experience that includes business management, academic research, and consultancy to organizations ranging from startups to large firms. He is a lecturer (assistant professor) at the University of Haifa’s Department of Statistics.

We’ll be hosting a hub at GDG Beer Sheva for the Online Qualification Round of Hash Code, a team-based programming competition created by Google for university students and industry professionals.

The Online Qualification Round takes place on Feb 23rd at 19:00 and registered teams from Beer Sheva and the Negev are invited to participate in our hub, which will take place at Incubit Technology Ventures.
Top scoring teams from the Online Qualification Round will then be invited to Google’s Paris office to compete in the Final Round of the competition in April.
If you’re interested in joining our hub, find a team (two to four people) and register (MUST!) at g.co/hashcode.
Make sure to select GDG Beer Sheva from the list of hubs when register.

תנועת המייקרים (Makers) הינה תנועה של אנשים בעלי חדוות יצירה עצמית (DIY) אשר אינם רק צרכנים אלא גם יצרנים.

בשנים האחרונות קיבלה התנועה חיזוק טכנולוגי בדמות לוחות פיתוח אלקטרוניים הנגישים לקהל הרחב (כדוגמת הארדואינו) וקוד פתוח – המאפשרים לחבר בין העולם הפיזי לעולם המיחשוב.

בסדנת הארדואינו אנו נחשוף את המשתתפים לאפשרויות הרבות של השימוש בלוח הפיתוח ארדואינו:
- נלמד איך בנוי הארדואינו (מיקרו-בקר, כניסות ויציאות אנלוגיות ודיגיטליות, ועוד)
- נלמד מה ניתן לחבר לארדואינו (למשל לדים, סנסורים, מנועים ,ועוד)
- נלמד על מעגל חשמלי ורכיבים אלקטרונים (נגד, דיודה/לד, טרנזיסטור)
- נלמד לתכנת את לוח פיתוח הארדואינו בעזרת ממשק הארדואינו ושפת תיכנות דמויית C
- נבנה מספר פרוייקטים בעזרת הארדואינו

בסוף הסדנה המשתתפים יצאו עם ידע שיאפשר להם להכין פרוייקט מבוסס ארדואינו.

משך הסדנא – 3 שעות.
לרוצים להשתתף בתירגולים - יש להגיע עם מחשב נייד.

Michael Sverdlin AKA Sveder - Software developer, GDE (Google Developer Expert) and a mentor on the launchpad program. A 10-year veteran of the Israeli startup scene.
