New feature: we support Garmin CSV format for imports.
Which means you can now use CSV files from POI_Factory
If you have a file representing a single trip (i.e. a collection of places meant to be traveled through in order), you can import it as a new trip. Not all files represent a single trip: some contain additional alternative routes, others consist of routes and tracks representing the same pathways with different degree of granularity. You may also have files with large collection of places that you want to pick and choose from. Do not create trips...

During your trip you can select 'optimize for navigation' in the PLAN drawer. It makes Furkot display your location and heading on the map. The map center button will take you to the current position. Works great for hiking and city walks.

Castles, roman churches, picturesque villages with impossibly narrow streets.
Snow covered picks, twisted roads, long days, empty trails.
Also known as May in Spain.
Did we mention wine already?

Planning a trip to China? You may find our short explainer handy:
We do not presume to offer any advice on actually traveling to China. We can however assist with some of the preparation, specifically we can help you plot your trip itinerary on the map. It's worth noticing that as civilized and connected as it is nowadays, China remains a totalitarian regime. The laws are restrictive and the government actions are pernicious. Even a simple act of mapping one's trip is political and it does not escape bureaucrat...

Looking for an adventure and finding the perfect (not our words) road trip planner. Go there for Furkot review, stay for the photos ;-)
I'd like to tell you a little bit about Furkot, a really useful online tool I found for planning travel and road trips. I recently used it to plan a 1300 mile trip around Scotland, and it did everything I wanted and more .... Ahh information technology, the great hope of having logical tools that actually make life a little bit easier, enable people to live more and work less. Let's face it so many websites and apps actually mean we spend more ...

Get away without getting lost. Plan your next road trip with us.
Introduction

Always wanted to travel across US but were not sure if you have enough time for that?
Did you try to figure out how long it takes to drive from Yosemite to Yellowstone or from Lisbon to Rome?
Did you wonder what is the best place to find lodging on the way?

Start clicking on the map. Choose your destination and Furkot figures out how long it will take you to get there. Set limits on the travel time so none of your sightseeing has to be done under moonlight (unless of course that's what you want). Let Furkot know how long you are planning to stay in one place and watch it recommend the best place to spend the night. Allow Furkot to fill the details of the hotel reservation for you on a booking service of your choice.
