How to Say Thank You: Leave a Google Review!

When was the last time that you gave someone a review on Google Plus?

In business, we all like to receive testimonials or great feedback from happy customers. We also understand how important online reviews can be. However, we've previously discussed in this community how difficult it can be to get customers and clients to leave an online review, even if they have been really happy with the goods or services. This difficulty seems to rise when it comes to Google+ reviews. Why? Often it's because non-active users of Google+ see the review process as difficult and we all know that any barrier to the action will inevitably lead to fewer people following through with it.

Here in UK Connect many of us are fairly active on Google+. We are pretty much au fait with the workings of the platform, certainly to the extent that we can probably all manage to leave a review.

So how many reviews have you given?

After receiving some great service and advice from two of our members, +Spinal Physiotherapy and +Smart Local Marketing , and having been very gently  reminded about reviews, I was shocked to realised that I hadn't given any!

I promptly remedied the situation and gave both a review on their respective business pages. It's really easy to do. Go to the Reviews section on the About tab on their page. Click write a review and away you go. Simple!

Can you give somebody a review?

If you've had good service from a company please consider leaving them a review. But also consider other situations when you've received help or service or advice free of charge. You don't have to be a fully paying customer to leave a business a review.

If someone helps you out or gives you some great advice do you say Thank you ? I'm betting that you do. It's polite. It's good manners. It's the right thing to do.

I say go one further and drop them a nice review on their business page!

I'm going to make a real effort to think about the people and businesses that have served or helped me in some way and to show my appreciation by leaving them a review. If we fans of G+ can't get into the habit of leaving feedback, how on earth can we expect our clients and customers to do so?

Go on, make someone's day - leave a review!

*Edit: A great point made in the comments by +Nick Rink and one point to remember:

"It's well worth remembering that you can leave a review here on Google+ with either your personal profile or your business page. Just one other way to get a little exposure for your brand"
