My son is in Ms Sophia's class and she is a superb teacher. He was going to a well known Montessori in Frisco and did not learn anything. But since he is going to Frisco Trail Montessori we saw a difference. He knows his numbers, reading and writing. Thanks to Ms. Sophia, Ms Julia and the wonderful director Ms. Tasneem. They all are doing a wonderful job.

My son has been going to Frisco Trails Montessori for 2 years now and he absolutely loves his school. The teachers are very caring and hardworking and my son has learnt a lot in past 2 years. The administration staff is also very supportive and it feels like one big happy family. I would highly recommend Frisco Trails.

We are very happy that our kids are studying in Frisco Trails Montessori. We have been a FTM family since Jan 2013. My elder one is in the primary program and the younger one is in the toddler program. it has been a wonderful experience so far. The teachers are certified and very knowledgeable of the Montessori Philosophy. My children are doing very well academically.I would recommend this school to all the parents looking for a good Montessori school.

First, let me say that my child attended this school for several years and had an overall decent experience. Just prior to leaving during the summer session of 2013, there was a slow steady decent in overall quality that coincided with a change in leadership and many teachers. When the head of the school, Ms Davey, was about to leave her post, the ownership decided it was time to personally take over as the leadership staff and infuse teachers into the program that would support a Gestapo type approach to dealing with students and parents. I was so relieved that my child was ready for kindergarten at the time or we would have changed Montessori schools. This was confirmed when my child looked at me the last day of school and said," thanks dad...I'm glad that's over". In other words, do not enroll your child at this school at any cost or you will suffer the consequences of a tormented child. What used to be fun and educational is now a down trodden infusion of overly strict disciplinarians and anti american beliefs being fed to the young and innocent. The teacher turnover is horrendous and the overall quality of the teachers is subpar. The most notable points regarding the instructors are irregular attendance and anger management issues. Not to mention, for some odd reason, almost all Asian, Anglo, African American and Latino children left the school in droves. Again...Parents Beware!!!

Our child has attended Frisco Trails Montessori since 2010. I agree with other reviewers that the original director, Melissa, was outstanding, and that the overall experience of the school suffered in the months after her departure. However, as parents (and grandparents) who are very physically present at the school, we have always been pleased with the caring environment and the quality of the education. By physically present, I mean that one parent or grandparent has walked inside the building at least twice, every school day, for almost four years. We also occasionally drop in during class to observe through the one-way windows. It's true that our teacher is one of the favorites, and rightly so. She is outstanding and clearly loves her work and loves the kids. I cannot speak for the experience of others, but we've always received a warm welcome every morning, and we've been given ready access to our teachers, as well as the director on the rare occasions we felt the need. On enrollment, we were given our own access code to the front door. We've always been respectful to avoid disrupting the school day, but we have never been denied entry at any time. It's true that the kids are taught to walk in a line in respectful silence when moving through the hallway. Perhaps some would define this as "gestapo" tactics, but I define it as orderly, and a good lesson in honoring the learning environment. This year, our child's grandmother has become a volunteer for a reading program where she sits with and listens to individual students reading aloud. She's at the school one morning each week. This has given her the chance to see a lot more of what goes on. In her words: "We feel so fortunate to have our grandchild attend FTM and to have the fine teachers that she's had through the Toddler, Transitions, and Primary levels. As a volunteer I have had the chance to see all of the fantastic activities that she is exposed to in addition to regular classroom work, including Spanish, Art, Music, and computer classes which she loves. This is the experience that every parent or grandparent would want for their children. Your warm greeting each morning and the "Celebration of Life" poster that is displayed for each child on their birthday gives us the feeling of love and family. Our thanks to you and the staff for this environment for our little one. Keep up the good work."

My child has been going to FTM for more than a year and I have to say that it has been a great experience. Not only is the facility excellent, they have a strong focus on academics. I am amazed on how much my child has learnt in such a short time. Teachers here really care e.g. make sure that he finishes his lunch and he typically comes home really happy.

Our family has been a part of the FTM family since January 2010. We have been through all three directors. We absolutely loved the original director. The school started seeing many issues with the second director; she was very lazy and deeply hurt FTM. Unfortunately, our most recent director’s husband has been transferred out of the DFW area. While she may have been more reserved than some would like, I feel she was a step back into the right direction. I am very excited one of the owner’s will be fulfilling the director’s role. She is/was the director of New Age Montessori in Irving (her other school). My husband has visited her other school on a couple of occasions and was extremely impressed with the school. Yes, we have been through many ups and downs with the second director of FTM (she was there for 2 ½ years). However, through everything we always looked out for both of our children’s best interest. They both love going to school and they are safe. We felt consistency was better for them with their loving teachers rather than our feelings about the second director. Both of our children attended the toddler classes. Our oldest was in T1 and absolutely adored the teacher, which is still there. Our youngest was able to be in the T3 class from 18 months until 3. Both teachers in this classroom were beyond words. I always said they were the toddler whisperers. ALL of the parents (not just the current ones in their class) were crushed when these two AMAZING teachers were let go due to enrollment numbers. Our oldest enters kindergarten in the fall and we believe is more than prepared. I have read through the TEKS for kindergarten; a large majority of them are already mastered. Our youngest recently moved up to primary and has already in two months learned so much. We had a hard time deciding which primary class to select; there are several outstanding teachers. We felt P2 was the best match for our youngest needs. The lead teacher is sweet, loving and nurtures the children to develop their interest in math and reading. The assistant teacher (ALSO Montessori certified), is so creative and the children as well as parents adore him. He stays until 5:00 and works part of aftercare (after 3); this is a huge advantage for the class to be able to have the same teacher with them for their entire day. He keeps the children engaged with experiments, art work and reading library books specially picked for the children. Again, we have been at FTM with all of the ups and downs in regards to the directors over the past three and half years. A large majority of the negativity out there (including DFPS deficiencies) are due to the second director who is no longer there. The teachers at FTM are exceptional and truly care about each child.
