We have received requests for a few changes and additions to the campaign and we’re happy to oblige.

All Miniature Pack XL levels or higher now automatically get a second digital pack they can gift to a friend! That should help with finding someone to play the game with!

We also added a single hero + cohort add-on for backers who want extra heroes on top of their pledge level.

We have been working on the Lands of Ruin Command Console app for the last 3 years. The current User Interface is a result of multiple iterations often starting from the scratch.

The work we have already put into creating the interaction model and functionality for the core gameplay of Lands of Ruin allow us to keep our Kickstarter campaign goal low. For those of you who are familiar with the costs of software projects know that building software like the Lands of Ruin Command Console would cost much more than that. Fortunately, we have already done most of the heavy lifting.

Lands of Ruin has required a lot of very hard work over the last 3.5 years. Fortunately, we love working on something that we are proud of and passionate about. However, no matter how passionately we work, making a revolutionary hybrid game often requires more time and talent than our small team can humanly posses. We have wanted to write a post for a long time about the artists and creatives that have helped us to enrich and realize the living world we are creating.
