If you are getting a knocking noise from the front of your Freelander when you go over bumps, if you keep driving it, this could happen. A snapped link rod!

The best way to protect your Freelander 2 drive train is to ensure all of your tyres are the same make, mode, size, same tread depth remaining and same air pressure, and to service your Haldex in a timely manner, approximately every 2 - 3 years. Drivetrain damage is expensive - it is worth protecting.

If your Freelander 1 clutch pedal suddenly goes down to the floor and does not return unless you flip it back up, this is likely to be a problem with your clutch hydraulics.

Did you know that the cylinder liners on a Freelander 1.8 engine need to sit between 1 and 3 thou above the block? This is a tiny amount, however if you do not have this lip coolant will seep into the liners and you will have white smoke coming from the exhaust and all sorts of running issues!
