Whale watch season is almost half over and hasn't it been exceptional. Great weather, huge number of friendly whales and lots of happy passengers. Hervey Bay is the best place to see the migratory Humpback whales at rest and at play.
School holidays are just round the corner so get booked ASAP

We are often asked why the whale watching in Hervey Bay starts later than in other areas and the reason for this is that on their northern migration the humpback whales travel on the eastern side of Fraser Island. They migrate further north to the warmer waters for mating and calving before heading back to their summer playground in Antarctica.
During this southern migration many of the whales stop off in Hervey Bay to shelter, rest and later in the season to nurture their calves.
During their stop over they are accustomed to interacting with the whale watch fleet and close encounters are very common throughout the season.
Freedom will start whale watching on the 13th July until late October.
Bookings are being taken now @
