Wow. There seems to be nothing that this table cannot do. The only thing I can think of that this is lacking is the convenience of having the tools separate to be able to go from tool to tool without resetting it. But you cannot beat the versatility of this table. Well done. #woodworking   #diy

Experimenting with thin plywood. How strong is it? Could you make a box out of it? Would it have to be braced? Lots of questions. What are your experiences with thin plywood joinery? Just to mess with you who likes fractions I'll say that my plywood is "about" 2/13 inches.

I checked the strength and it is better than expected. For only 4 mm of contact it took some force to break it. When pushed in the ply broke of quite easily but before that I tried pushing out and it withstood a fair amount of force. So storing drill bits and small odds and ends in a box out of 4mm plywood is quite feasible. I would however probably as +John Weir stated use a thicker bottom and have it inside the frame for a larger glue area.

You've managed to cram a whole bunch of tools into a smallish shop. What a feat.

This has got to be the funniest yet most accurate video of guitar playing I've seen.

So I'm taking the plunge and learning #SketchUp. I've used #Blender before so the concept isn't new. Just a whole different way of constructing things. So far I must say that the program is quite easy to get into although I did not choose an easy project to begin with. Mitered corners and beveled sides in combination was not as easy as I thought in SketchUp.

I've been commissioned to make wall mounts for 14 Android tablets to show status of the conference room status they are mounted outside of. My first woodworking job, so to speak.

Here it is, modeled in SketchUp, rendered in Blender.

Really nice shoe rack. Looks easy but as you said, requires some repeatable precision.

I am making apple pie today. I wonder how how long it takes to create the universe. Granted, I have pre-made dough so I will not have make it from scratch. I cannot find a recipe that takes both pre-made dough and the universe into account so I have no idea on prepare time. So Mr Sagan, if you want to make an apple pie not entirely from scratch, how much of the universe do I have to create? #CarlSagan #ApplePie #LifeQuestions
