I would beg to disagree slightly: General Aviation isn't "very safe" if you go by the accident record, but I'm sure you already know that. That isn't to say it could NOT be very safe, and that's where your content and others like it is useful.
Unless and until we GA types approach training—including recurrent training—with the same professionalism that the Transport types do, that accident rate will remain largely unchanged. Unless and until the aircraft maintenance also approaches Transport-level, we'll continue to have issues (although I hasten to add that GA aircraft maintenance is actually pretty good). Our standard operating procedures must be just as rigorous, this isn't Sunday driving. Alas too many pilots approach it with that nonchalance.
