Introduction
I'm making web-applications using java. My hosting environment has been on our own servers (using vm-ware to host my virtual machines) but now I'm moving to the Cloud (and I prefer the Google App Engine).

"Using Java" to program for the web includes a need-to-know HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jsp, zul and some XML, SQL, GQL.

But back in the old days I had some years programming in Smalltalk (on a machine soo big I named it Obelix!)

I miss Smalltalk. I have been reading about Self and Beta. I had Simula at the university - so I am proud to say OO programming started in Norway ;-)

I have had my share of C and C++, but it all started with Basic - at punch cards! In my first job the programming language was Databus (looks like a mix of an assemply language and Basic to me)

The world of computers is getting fun again!
Using Smalltalk as my development tool decades ago - I had this feeling everything was going backward. I did not have the excitement everybody else expressed: I felt I had "been there - done that".

But now: with maturing browsers that adapts to all plattforms - and maturing online tools - and finally - with Smalltalk on its way back into the mainstream in the form of Dart - I see big changes in the near horizon ;-)

So I like to talk about languages, or frameworks - and development concepts and ... the future!

The NetBlast CRM that I started to develop in 1999 is still the core of our business.

Love Drive but still using Office? Good news. There’s a handy plug-in that lets you open files from Drive, edit them in Office, and save back to Drive. It now works with Outlook, too. You can insert Drive files when composing or replying to emails, update sharing permissions, and save incoming attachments directly to Drive.

Download the latest version:

Stuff in Space. Stuff in Space is a realtime 3D map of objects in Earth orbit, visualized using WebGL. The website updates daily with orbit data from Space-Track.org and uses the excellent satellite.js Javascript library to calculate satellite positions. About the author. My name is James Yoder; ...

I've been here at summer and now during winter. Sure, summer is better, but I just love the atmosphere.
