I am putting together a list of basic programming concepts.  Things that any programmer should know. Is there anything else you would add to this list?
Variables & Constants
Data Types
Numbers & Math Operators
Input/Output
Logical Operators & Conditionals (IF, switch, etc.)
Loops (For, While)
Arrays/Lists
Functions

Are you currently using source control with your salesforce projects? And if so what are you using?

I saw someone wearing a t-shirt today that simply stated "Leave me alone!" I thought that is a shirt I have often needed.

Documenting projects came up in a discussion I was part of. It was interesting to hear different people's thoughts. I am curious to know, how do you document your projects? Not just comments in the code, but the design of the project.

Just to add my bit to the lot, documentation oftens forget to mention extendability, or how to add stuff to what's already in place. Not everyone is comfortable with design patterns, so mentioning what patterns are used in a structure could help a lot... And its simply one line to add at the beginning of a class/namespace. Then mention what is to be extended.

I am at a client's and saw a sticky note on the server with the admin password. Thier contract is up and I came in to discuss the renewal. I have decided not to renew it and wish them well.

I write my own operating systems, powered by my sense of self-satisfaction and smugness. Bunch of fools in this thread using some code written by a bunch of unknown people.... shame on all of you.

What if...
I once had a co-worker ask me what if my religion was not the right one. What if it wasn't true. I answered that I believe God will judge us based on how well we do with what we have. I am living the best life I know how. And if I have it all wrong, my religion makes me a better person. It gives me higher values and morals.

Clients, you can't live with them... I have a client who had the previous tech come in and "fix" something on his network. No notice that he was going to do it or what he did. Now he says he his having another more major issue. Some days are just so much fun.

Best Mexican food in town and the friendliest staff. Came back after three months and were welcomed like family. Wish we had a place like this in California.

We took our 4 year old. There is so much to do we were never bored. Loved the swimming pool and playground. This is a hidden oasis in the desert.
