The Space community presents... the Virtual Star Party! Every Sunday night we connect up telescopes into a live Google+ Hangout. Join us!

It's time for another Virtual Star Party. Join +Fraser Cain and a team of astronomers as they explore the night sky with telescopes streaming into a live Google+ Hangout. We should be able to see Jupiter, maybe a thin sliver of the Moon, if we're lucky, and a whole range of wonderful deep sky objects.

We'll even take requests. :-)

Here's a link to last week's star party if you're wondering what it's all about.

Last week's video will be replaced with the live video when we're about to start. Also, remember that the start time can be a little rough, it's tough to get everything lined up perfectly to start at 6 PST sharp.

+Nandaka Nxz the time for events usually shows in your local time, I think, but it is usually at 6pm Pacific Time (the time zone for Los Angeles)

I don't have a Telescope anymore... I'd love to star gaze again..

+Don Wilson I have been thinking of buying a telescope for my three year old twin sons too, any suggestion on a reasonably priced make and model? Thanks

Honestly, there are allot of Telescopes out there. You can even build a kit. Discovery Channel had a store in the Malls. But look around online, and find some shops that deal with them. They'd have a better idea for your needs.

I'm  going to participate for STAR PARTY 2013 ,Astronomy competition  in my country,Sri  Lanka
