After some discussion on Twitter, I decided that we need a reference article about Path and URLs and the right way to point to files in #WordPress  . Published on #WPKrauts
The promise WordPress makes is that it easy. And in fact it is. Even writing themes and plugins is easy. What isn't easy is to write stuff the correct way.

I just tried to view some library as UML diagram in +PhpStorm (v8.0.3 on Win7). Shortcuts like Ctrl+Shift+Alt+U aren't working and I can't seem to find any sort of other access to it. The docs clearly [1] are stating that there should be a diagram view. Hope someone can shed lights into that issue. Thanks in advance.

Working with Diagrams. UML model in PhpStorm is represented by a Class diagram in standard notation. PhpStorm enables using UML class diagrams to analyze PHP applications, and the structure of the databases and tables. Besides that, you can explore changes committed to VCS.

The +Salesforce  #UX  team has built #Theo  to provide a common base for all their UIs: Colors, fonts, sizes, etc. A living design system, that pipes tasks through Gulp to produce SCSS, XML and other files needed for the target platform (mobile device, desktop browser, native App). The interesting thing is that they can change one color and have the change instantly available on all their target platforms. They wrote about it and open sourced it on GitHub. Sadly it by now has gained very little attention for no reason. Here's your Sunday must read. The GitHub repo is linked below including an example Repo for their "design properties" (the centralized files).

Unsure where to find #WordPress translation files? Here's the complete guide written by me and Thomas Kräftner - posted on WordPress.StackExchange.

Today is the birthday of +Frank Bültge
What's the best way to celebrate? Of course: With a patch for #WordPress  core. Congratulations Frank, you are core contributor for WP 4.2! Thanks for helping to make that happen! :)
Currently the post class function/template tag simply returns an empty array for 404 requests. The reason is simple: The output gets generated based on the return values of get_post(). This avoids using it to style parts of the 404 template using the post_class filter.

Good morning, +Sergej Müller

I just found an answer I written some month ago where I also recommend inspecting outgoing requests using #Snitch  to speed up the admin section. Do you have any additional information that I could put there? A link alone doesn't help that much.

Ever thought about using the #WordPress  wp_kses() function? Think again (or update your PHP version). Zack Tollmann has written a great post and done some serious performance measuring.
wp_kses Performance. Jan 26, 2015. How performant are the wp_kses family of functions in WordPress? Folk wisdom and common sense suggest that they are slow. It seems that as long as I have been involved in the WordPress community, I have heard that the wp_kses functions should not be used when ...

Estonia is running their EU compliant digital Signature since more than 15 years now. This year, they are opening their signature to the world. We can all become digital citizens of e-stonia. Maybe time to grab one - and learn from one of the least known EU countries that shows us that innovation serves everyone. PROTip by +Thomas Schranz

Serious performance metrics for the wp_kses() function and its aligning functions. This is a must read for every developer.

If you already follow me and now read that post a second time: I'm sorry for pushing it into your timeline twice. This just is something that I see too often to let anyone miss it. Thanks for understanding that - if not, you may punch me in the comments :)

Ok, here's how kool Franziskus really is: The Vatican now got a #StartUp   #accelerator . And just some random funding things: The 10 startups that get into the program every year need to focus on world wide #education . Got my +1

Was man vorher wissen sollte: Wer Stress hat, sollte sich was anderes suchen.
