The Franklin Victorian B&B was and is amazing! Not only has this historic home been preserved, I felt as if every room was there just for me! Living room, parlor, dining area and our own room were all open for us to use. Sitting in the living room and parlor leaves a person wishing the walls could talk. There since 1900 and in such beautiful condition yet today provides a glimpse of the life and times from over 116 years ago! There is no better breakfast served! The bed sheets are the softest ever and a person can even purchase them there! The building and grounds are wonderfully well kept. The Franklin Victorian Bed & Breakfast oozes with history with it's original wood trim, beautiful floors, and furniture. Window dressings let the sun come through while letting you see how the sun shown through a century ago. This is a wonderful vintage home and I felt the past reaching out to find me. I could have sat in each room and just taken in the detail and craftsmanship and never left. Had I done that, I'd have missed out on the downtown area which is only footsteps away! The collection of fine small town shops was awesome. I never felt so welcome and actually made new friends with some of the shop proprietors! The Franklin Victorian Bed & Breakfast is a special and historical place. Rarely does a person have access to history like this. For those that wish for quiet and a place just to rest, this would also be just the place for you. What a grand place! I'll be back...............again and again.

Gorgeous building and very friendly, professional service. The history of the house is fascinating and it's located near a downtown where there's tons of fun small shops to look around in. Great place to just relax in!

This lovely B&B is a stone's throw from the center of town (Sparta--biking capital of the Americas), 30 minutes from the heart of cranberry growing country (we walked into a bog with thigh-high waders!), and less than an hour from the Minnesota border across the Mississippi River. My husband and I felt enveloped by charm and comfort at Jennifer and Steve's tranquil home the moment we stepped through the front door. Had we been without specific plans for each day, we could easily have stayed inside this Victorian cocoon. At every turn there was thoughtfulness: plump sofa cushions, well-supporting sofas, ottomans, and dining room chairs, mood lighting, just-right mattress and soft sheets for both of us with differing preferences, plush bath robes, carefully considered and placed room accents (figurines, romantic etched, printed, and stitched phrases, local crafts, well-turned antique furnishings, bath toiletries artfully arranged in themed baskets), coffee, tea, and snack selections (including mouth-watering homemade chocolate chip cookies!) and mini-fridge tucked just outside the bedroom doors, elegantly set breakfast table complete with personalized seat assignments, candles, seasonal fruits, and flowers, garden art pieces tastefully set amidst colorful blooms--I could go on and on. Breakfasts were creative and scrumptious. So helpful was the menu "library" from local (even a bit further out) restaurants to make dining plans. Our hosts graciously lent us Miamians (FL not OH) gloves and other accessories for our biking adventure on a cool WI morn. How Jennifer and Steve maintain such cleanliness and excellent premises condition I do not know but there was not one iota of evidence that anyone had every stayed in our room before we arrived. This was a truly memorable sojourn for us.

Steve and Jennifer are both very friendly and their B&B is very welcoming. Our stay was fantastic. The breakfasts were both fantastic and the bed sheets were out of this world! Thanks for the great stay! Dawn and Jason

I traveled to Sparta to celebrate my 55th birthday with my 95 year-old mother (not many people actually have that privilege)! It was the perfect choice! Beautiful, serene surroundings, fabulous hostess, amazing food...the relaxation level was off the chart! I don't unplug often, but I will now! The bed was so comfortable--and the amenities over the top (wine, bathrobes, slippers, coffee, snacks, beverages...) I can't wait to return!

We live about an hour and 15 minutes away from Sparta and will definitely make the Franklin Victorian a repeat stay. This was without a doubt the most beautifully-equipped room we have stayed in, and the breakfast was not only excellent but actually more than I could finish. The master bedroom's gas fireplace is a lovely addition, as is the full-body shower spray in the master bath. I hope we can return soon!

Jennifer was so welcoming, and her cooking was fantastic! What a beautiful home, and our room was perfect. Couldn't have asked for a more cozy, relaxing way to spend New Year's Eve. The B&B is located on a nice corner in Sparta, and walking distance to good Italian food, and even a band (though we didn't stay for that). We very much look forward to staying here again! Thank you, Jennifer and Steve!

This was the second B&B I've stayed at, and I'm hooked. Franklin Victorian Inn set the bar high. Gracious hosts, amazing breakfasts, and ALL of the little extras. I can't think of one thing missing, but I could write about MANY things that made it an unforgettable, enjoyable experience. Thank you Jennifer and Steve! We'll be back to ride the trails!
