Another Photowalk with Benro and Samyang is planned for 11th April. It's going to be another evening walk, this time along the Yarra near Geoff's shed. Stay tuned!

I had the opportunity to test the new irix 15mm/2.4 lens on Friday. Here are some of the shots. It's a fantastic lens...almost no distortion! The perspective is exaggerated but no bendy lines here. Most of the shots were 'straightened' in ACR (except for the HDR one). Very sharp and flare is very well controlled as well.

Come and join us for a FREE photo walk of the amazing Queen Victoria Summer Night Market on Wednesday 1st March from 7pm - 9pm. We will all meet at the North entrance at 7pm to have a quick chat about what is going to happen and to organise gear before heading in to the market to take photos at 7:30 and finishing around 9pm. It is suggested that you bring a torch to help in the dark as well as appropriate clothing and foot ware. Oh and don't forget your camera, memory cards, charged batteries and Tripod but if you don't have a tripod we will have some Benro and MeFoto tripods on hand for people to use. Also there will be a variety of Samyang lenses to try out on the night.

You are encouraged to post your photos from the night on our Facebook pages (Samyang Optics Australia, Benro Australia and MeFoto Australia) as there will be a 8mm Samyang lens prize valued at $500 for the images with the most likes!

During the night you can talk and learn from some of our brand ambassadors as well as the Victorian representative for Benro and Samyang.

Please let us know what camera you will be bringing so that we can have a good range of lenses for you to use.

We look forward to seeing you there! Please register on this event page.
