- Instead of reducing, as agreed by World leaders in several conferences, during the last couple of years, worldwide greenhouse gas emission rates caused by burning of fossil fuels like carbon, oil and natural gas have doubled in the last decade. Investments in fossil fuel infrastructure and subsidaries are increasing drastically.

- Climate change once considered a threat for the distant future has now become a present issue.

- Each of the last 3 decades have been successively warmer than any of the preceding decades on record.

- 9 of the 10 globally warmest years on record have been occured since 2000.

- 2014 was the warmest year on record globally.

- With this pace, Earth surface will warm up 3 - 8 degrees Celsius until the end of the century. 3 - 8 degrees Celsius was enough to bring Earth out of the last ice age 20.000 years ago.

- A shift from fossil fuel to low carbon energy, in order to maintain Earth warming below 2 degrees Celsius, as politically agreed by World leaders, until the end of the century is technically possible, economically affordable ( 0,06% of annual GDP) but not wanted by the fossil energy lobby (In Brazil corrupt Petrobras and the corrupt Brazilian Government).

- According to scientists, an Earth tipping point has already been passed, Western Antarctic ice shield retreat is unstoppable and will lead to an increase of 3 feet / 1 meter until the end of this century. It is predicted to disappear completely in the coming centuries with a sea level increase of 10 - 15 feet / 3 - 5 meters.

- Bye Bye New York and Rio de Janeiro, Game Over!

- Unfortunately I will not be any longer alive by this date to see this, because human ignorance, stupidity and stubborness is really unprecedented. But at least I will see São Paulo without water.
